Oof this was a nice treat that was hidden away! Tucked on the far end of the building from Safeway on 176th and canyon this is really good Mexican restaurant. The vibe is very chill and laid-back and so are the employees, they were very nice and professional.
My husband ordered the carne asada burrito and it was huge. It had a lot of pico de gallo on top and it was very delicious. I ordered the chicken taco salad and it was probably one of the better tasting salads I’ve had because of the chicken… It tasted like it was smoked and it was absolutely delicious. The only bummer was the taco shell itself was lacking in flavor. But that’s the only complaint I have about this place. Definitely be returning to try other items on their menu which is pretty big, lots of variety! And we have never been to a Mexican restaurant that serves white rice. And the prices are affordable.

This is a hidden gem. If I need comfort food, this is going to be one of my go to places! The food is flavorful and just at comforting. The service is awesome. The owners were so attentive and helpful during our visit.

Honestly the best authentic Mexican on S. Hill. The service is always spot on! I always order the Mezcal margarita and it’s great! The nachos are the best I’ve had!! Street tacos are delicious and burritos are huge! Haven’t tried everything but what I have had is to die for.

Came upon this delightful Mexican place by chance… The Wife and I found ourselves out on a Saturday evening without the kiddos so we decided to treat ourselves. She was craving some carne asada and Google Maps steered us to La Michoacana Grill. My wife ordered the Carne Asada plate and I got the Molcajete. Our food came out hot and sizzling not long after and it did not disappoint in the least bit. Carne was cooked beautifully and so full of flavor with tasty grill marks across the steak. I tried grilled cactus for the first time and was surprised by how good it tasted, the shrimp was top shelf and the seasoning was perfect. Nothing was bland like I’ve read in other reviews so maybe they have made the necessary changes or it was just an off night for those reviews. Hector came to the table to see how we liked the food and service. He chatted with us for a few short minutes and was such a gracious host! We will definitely be returning and spreading the word to family and friends! Highly recommended!

This is the place to go for Mexican food. It’s never crowded which I’m surprised about. The food is better than the big chain restaurants and the other smaller restaurants.
The portions are generous. The prices are fitting for what you get. The chips are really good and the salsa and guacamole are amazing. It’s real guacamole and not that mushy over processed stuff at some restaurants.
The beans and rice are really the best tasting in the area. I’m very picky as well the others in my family about flavor and we all noticed and agreed the beans and rice are authentic tasting as well the texture.
4.4 stars is laughable. This is a 5.0 star Mexican restaurant. Any lower review ratings are not a true reflection of this place.
Try it out and you won’t be disappointed. Of course eating at the restaurant will make the food taste better than pickup for the house. Try it fresh and hot!

This place has some great Mexican based food! The Tacos and enchilada verde picadillo were delicious. This was followed by an unlimited amount of chips and salsa dip! There is enough seating to go around and the place is clean.

We stopped in for a quick lunch on our way out of town from visiting family. We are so sad it’s so far away from us!! Chips and salsa were outstanding to begin with – the salsa has a really good balance of flavors. Two of us got sopes – a fav that I get pretty regularly, and I swear these were the best I have ever had. The edges were perfectly crispy and not greasy at all – and you can order them individually instead of getting an entire $20+ combo plate. It was clean and our waiter was friendly and helpful. We’ll be remembering this for when we’re in town next!
