Food was so DELICIOUS! I was so hungry, waiting at the dentist and googled food near by. I said “oh, I could go for some jerk anything.” This should be good- And it was! They had lunch specials (11am-3pm). My daughter ordered the jerk chicken lunch special and swapped out her rice for Mac and cheese. She said the Mac had a funny, weird aftertaste. I ordered the oxtail egg rolls – ON POINT! I probably ate half of it b4 even leaving the restaurant. Everything is so authentic and fresh. The cabbage was fresh. The plantains tasted like Heaven. I got an OXTAIL DINNER W/White rice, cabbage and plantain. It was so good, melting in my mouth. Every bite! Then there was a special sauce that you could dip your egg roll into and I never tasted a homemade sauce so good! It went right with the oxtail egg roll. Then, I ordered the jerk chicken gyro! I could go without the cabbage in the gyro, but overall it was pretty good! I may have to ask them next time to hold the cabbage in the gyro. It also came with French fries. Not bad. They give napkins and utensils. I admire that. Alot of restaurants in Elizabeth sometimes forget to give you that! Or you have to ask for it, when you shouldn’t because you ordered so much food! Everything was so good, before I reached home, I came back to order another 2 orders of oxtail egg roll because my daughter ate most of mine in the car before reaching our destination. I gave the girl a tip because the food was so good! Be prepared to wait 20-30 minutes. Or you’re better off just ordering ahead and picking it up. They do offer delivery as well. I will be back.

My parents are CARIBBEAN (Barbados and Trinidad) so I know great Caribbean food & I AM A FOODIE. I have been to over 25 Caribbean restaurants and have traveled to the Caribbean many times. But when I tell you THIS IS THE BEST CARIBBEAN FOOD I HAD IN MY LIFE, HAND ON A BIBLE! Like just WOW! THE FLAVOR, THE PRESENTATION, THE PORTION SIZE, THE QUALITY, EVERYTHING PHENOMENAL! HANDS DOWN 10/10. Not to mention, it was a delivery ordered and was prepared as if I was dining in. I will be a regular customer here

We recently visited and tried the Jerk Chicken and Oxtail Egg Rolls, along with the Jerk Chicken Fries.
The Egg Rolls were very dry, and there was no special sauce available. The Jerk Chicken was decent when paired with the BBQ sauce, but the Oxtail Egg Rolls, priced at $18, were disappointing – two dry rolls for that price felt unreasonable. The Jerk Chicken Fries, however, were quite good.
Overall, the experience was okay. Some menu items might be better, but based on what we tried, a few dishes seemed overpriced.

The food was really good. However i have an issue with the menu. On the menu it says that all big plates come with the sides like rice and salad and sweet plantain. Included in the big plates list is pasta and a burger beneath that. When we get our food i notice my pasta does not come with any sides. The worker tells us that the last 2 things on this list dont come with the sides. Thats something that should be clear on the menu because thats the only reason i ordered the pasta. To dine in is a bit awkward since they dont have much seating.

Oxtails are some of the best I’ve ever had. The cabbage was nice and crisp! They also give you a nice healthy portion of everything. They get really busy but I didn’t have to wait any longer than was told to me when I ordered. Everything was perfect! I will be getting stuff from there again, very soon!

We’ve had the pleasure of eating many dishes from Jerkies, and everything has been delightful. Standout traditional dishes include the jerk chicken and curry goat. Don’t sleep on their vegetarian options either– the jerk mushroom sliders, jerk cauliflower, and collards and cabbage were all delicious as well. Did I mention the peach cobbler? To top it all off, the team operating this restaurant is top-notch, the kind of people and business you want to support.

I ordered online for pick up at 12:15pm and when my boyfriend got there at 12:30pm they said the food wasn’t ready yet? An extra 10 to 15 minutes wait…..so my boyfriend got frustrated. He had other things to do! He rushed to get there and it was for nothing! So when he called me to let me know? He put the girl, who works there on the phone ☎️ she was very nasty and rudely! The ONLY REASON WHY I’M GOING BACK THERE, IS BECAUSE THE FOOD IS A ONE! Please work on y’all customers service skills!

I heard good things about this restaurant and gave it a try. When I arrived I found parking on the street nearby. I walked into a cute restaurant. I met the two chefs, Sara and Jeff. I ordered the jerk shrimp, black rice, cabbage/collards, and the mac au gratis. It came out in about 15 minutes. It looked great and tasted pretty good. The shrimp was a little salty, but all in all, the food was good. I really liked the mac!

Oxtail at Jerkies is honestly THEE BEST I’ve ever had, and I am a born & raised Brooklyn girl with Caribbean roots, so I KNOW good oxtail. Not only is it flavorful but the portion size is generous. I’ve also had other dishes like their griot, their egg rolls, and their macaroni. Literally everything tastes delicious! Not to mention that their customer service is good. Try them out! You’ll be hooked like me!

The egg rolls were delicious, with oxtails that fell off the bone and a flavorful taste. The jerk chicken was just right not too spicy but with a nice balance. The baked macaroni and cheese had a unique flavor, but it was still good.
