I was working in Boardman, Ohio for our wonderful customer installing a Ravelco in his 2022 Dodge Challenger 392 R/T Scat Pack Shaker. I was in the mood for Soup, Salad, Steak and Chicken Wings and I needed a good meal before my drive 3.5 hours to Springfield , Ohio. I searched Google Maps for a Longhorn Steakhouse nearby. It was a Sunday evening and I located the Longhorn Steakhouse in Boardman which was directly on my travel route to Springfield, Ohio. Longhorn Steakhouse is my go to when I need a quick meal with consistent food and beverages! Upon my arrival, I was quickly greeted and seated by the Host. Grace N. was my server.
I already knew what I wanted prior to being seated. Grace was extremely pleasant, friendly, courteous and professional. She immediately took my appetizer, entree, and beverage order. She and brought out fresh baked bread and butter. For an appetizer, I ordered the Seasoned Steakhouse Wings. For my entree, I ordered Renegade 9 Oz. Sirloin As t up ïLonghorn Salmon 10 oz with Broccoli, Sweet Potato, and Caesar Salad. For my beverage, I had water, no ice, and four lemons. Both my appetizers and entree were great!
Grace was attentive, happy and willing to help. She had a great attitude and a genuine smile. Grace should be definitely recognized for her “Outstanding Customer Service” which made for a fabulous dining experience. I will be definitely returning to this Longhorn Steakhouse when I am in the area. Kudos to Grace!
She knew exactly what to recommend, showing both excellent menu knowledge and the ability to read her guests.
I ordered the filet mignon from the premium cuts menu, and I have to say, it was cooked to perfection. In my experience, medium-rare steaks often come out either overcooked or underdone, but the chef here truly knew what they were doing. It was spot-on.
I personally enjoy A1 steak sauce with my steak, and usually I can’t eat steak without it. But this filet was so flavorful that I barely used any sauce at all, and honestly, it would have been just as delicious without it.
The food looked as good as it tasted, and the décor created a very pleasant dining atmosphere. What really stood out, though, was the service. Managers were walking around greeting guests, checking on servers, and making sure meals were enjoyable. You could tell the staff genuinely cared about their work and even seemed to enjoy it.
Thank you, LongHorn, Samantha, and the chef, for a truly wonderful dining experience. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant 100%.
From the start, the service was extremely inattentive and borderline neglectful. Our server essentially made three appearances the entire meal: once to take our drink order, once to take the food order, and once to drop off the check. That was it. No checking on the table, no refilling drinks, no asking how the food was, and no clearing plates between courses. It felt more like the level of service you’d expect at a fast-food chain or Steak ’n Shake, not a steakhouse where customers are ordering multiple courses.
To make matters worse, the restaurant was out of an unbelievable number of items. We were told they were out of five appetizers, the bread, sweet potatoes and brussel sprouts, and three different dinner entrées we attempted to order. For a national chain steakhouse, that’s simply unacceptable.
When the food finally arrived, it was equally disappointing. Nearly everything we ordered was overly salty to the point of being barely edible. The French onion soup was terrible—the cheese on top was barely melted and there was none of the classic bubbly broiled finish you expect from a proper French onion soup. The salads were also completely over-dressed, drowning in dressing instead of being balanced.
Between the missing menu items, the extremely poor service, and food that was far too salty to enjoy, the entire experience was frustrating and disappointing. With a nearly empty restaurant, there was absolutely no excuse for such neglectful service and poorly executed food. I would not return to this location and certainly would not recommend it.
