My family and I always have an incredible experience dining at Lefteris. The Greek salad with homemade dressing is a perfect starter, the ribeye steak is hands down the best value in the area and the grilled octopus is top notch. Very friendly servers and an excellent atmosphere. You can’t really ask for much more.

The atmosphere and the staff were really good. The food was a struggle to get down that is why I gave 2 stars. The zucchini were very large and that made the breading soggy. The cabbage leaves were definitely not a Greek recipe it had to be some kind of Middle Eastern recipe they were terrible they were made with raisins as well. I would not go back.

Loved the food! We got the hummus to start and a gyro platter both came with pita bread, the platter came with a great Greek salad, fries and side of tzatziki. It was enough for the two of us! Great prices and the food was delicious!

BRANZINO!!! Always the best here! I come often because it’s just delicious greek food. Everything is absolutely delicious all the time. My photo is poor but you can see l wanted to eat the espinas/bones too. I had my branzino with spinach and lemon potatoes. The spinach is always super tasty. Caipirina is my drink of preference but the greek beer is also my favorite. My picky mom also loves this place.

The wait for our table wasn’t too bad. We were served pretty quickly. However, those of us who ordered steak didn’t get the proper temp. I ordered medium rare and it was rare, my fiance order the same and his was way more rare than mine, and our friend ordered medium well and it was medium rare. The salad was soooo tasty, definitely recommend the split pea soup served with pita.

Food was AMAZING. Probably some of the best Greek food I’ve ever had. 5min wait to get in on a very busy tourist weekend, compared to other restaurants in the area with significantly longer waits. Great service as well, also fast. Highly recommend and will definitely be back.

Food disappointed my recent visit. Portions much smaller, since pre-renovations and location expansions.
I’ve been a long term customer, but haven’t gone in over a year, loved Letrisi for the large portions and good quality greek food. That’s what it was known for, by me and my friends.
“let’s give less, make more money” is the new motto
What prompted me to write this review was a recent convo with a friend and wife, who loved Lefteris, both of us shared the same exact dissatisfaction about portions.
Guess needing more profit overcame the restaurant, they’re probably spread too thin with locations and renovations. Looks like they bought the store next door and knocked down the wall and added bathrooms.
Plus we liked seeing the owner who would greet you. Now it’s just a bunch of regular random workers. Lost its coziness too.
I’ll be sticking to my astoria greek spot for now on, but hope they read these reviews and change back to their roots..which is the way they grew.

Very disappointed in the food that was delivered to me. I ordered one beef gyro, one lamb gyro, and side order of lemon potatoes. First it was very hard to eat the sandwiches because they were not properly wrapped, it ruined my new white shirt from all the food falling off. The lamb gyro was overcooked and very salty. The beef gyro was uncooked and raw as you can see in the pictures. The lemon potatoes were flavorful but very salty. I won’t be eating there again, since it is very expensive and the quality is very low.
