A nice country diner right off the highway. Good value for the price. We had a western omlette, amd eggs (over medium) with a waffle. Everything came to our table quickly, and was tasty. Our server was attentive, and it was busy.

We were on the way home from the mountains and decided to give this place a chance. I got the club with fries. Hubby got the hamburger steak, creamed potatoes with gravy and corn nuggets. My food was absolutely delicious. They actually used City ham which was delicious. The tomatoes were fresh as well.
Hubby did not like the hamburger steak so much he said it tasted like spam. The green potatoes were out of a box, but the corn nuggets were really good.
So I guess it depends on what you order from the menu. I would eat there again for sure and order at the club.
The staff is very friendly and very attentive. The restaurant was clean as well as the bathrooms.

It was a cute place with a big menu. Food was underwhelming and service was sad. We seated ourselves and when the waitress brought our menus and silverware, I spoke to her and said hi, how are you doing, and she said nothing. 10 minutes later( we almost left) she finally came and took our drink order. She was in no way friendly. When the food came, it didn’t have much flavor and even though she said the plates were hot, the food was not. Really excited to try this place and was very let down. My friends hushpuppies were like rocks. Collards has no seasonings and lots of stems.

We decided on a lark after seeing Granny’s billboard on I-40 to stop in for some breakfast for dinner! And we’re so glad we did! The staff were so helpful and sweet, and the food was excellent! Most local “diner” type places have horrid coffee. They grind their own beans here and the coffee was delicious! We both got the sunrise breakfast special and those sausage links were out of this world! Thanks for the great service and tasty food!

The most horrific meal I have had in my entire life. Took almost an hour to get a biscuit and hash browns that were cold hard and disgusting. Charged me several dollars extra for toppings that were almost non existent. I would NEVER eat here. When mentioning to our waitress how terrible everything was she agreed and said “yeah it is awful.” McDonald’s across the street was much better!

It’s sad how bad this place has went downhill… first thing my hashbrowns was so cold my cheese didn’t even melt and it tasted like a burnt dirty flat top, second thing the prices have almost tripled we got one gravy biscuit a small hashbrown and a bacon and egg plate with toast for damn 30$! We live 2 minutes away for over 20 years it’s never been that much or that bad. There where dirty tables with full plates left with one bite taken out!
I wouldn’t waste your money!

Granny’s Country Kitchen should be ashamed to have the word “kitchen” in its name. What an absolute disaster of a dining experience.
First, we waited over an HOUR for food—and trust me, it wasn’t worth waiting even five minutes. When it finally crawled out of the kitchen, it was stone cold and completely inedible. The pancakes? Harder than drywall. The bacon? Burnt to a blackened crisp AND still cold—how is that even possible? The eggs? Ice-cold and rubbery, like someone dug them out of a leftover bin from yesterday’s trash.
But wait, it gets worse. The waitress had an attitude so nasty it could strip paint. When we politely told her how terrible the food was, she hit us with a sarcastic “oh I’m sure” and walked away—didn’t apologize, didn’t offer to fix it, didn’t even pretend to care. She never once checked on us after dumping the plates on the table. Honestly, I’ve had better service at gas stations at 2AM.
This place has zero customer service, zero pride, and zero business serving food to humans. I wouldn’t feed this garbage to a stray dog.
If you’re thinking about eating here—don’t. Save your time, your money, and your dignity. Granny’s Country Kitchen is an epic failure, and frankly, I hope someone from management reads this and realizes just how far this place has fallen.
Never again. Ever.

Was not worth the $60 it cost. None of the food was seasoned at all, the onion rings tasted of old oil on top of no seasoning the lady at the register was hateful to both me and the old lady in front of me because the old lady couldn’t figure out the payment process and the atmosphere was dead… honestly just a rough experience and probably won’t be back…placed my order online and got the message it was ready when I got there it in fact was not ready

When you think about a local homestyle cooking location, this is what Granny’s will be. We were in town for the afternoon and took some friends to lunch. This is where they suggested. It was great. Not fancy, not a chain, but very well done. Lunch was better than Cracker Barrel. The server was great although I can’t remember her name.

It’s a shame I feel I need to warn people not to eat at a place I used to love to visit. And I do mean visit. Granny’s Kitchen used to be a place that felt that way, but no longer.

When me and my wife walked in. We had to listen to the waiting staff, front end staff. and what looked like the cooking staff hanging out talking about how bad their job was.

And how they made no money and should work at another place. That so and so worked at and it was better ( grumble grumble complain etc.) it went on and on and I tried my best to ignore it.

After a few minutes I ordered at the counter because I was in a bit of a hurry. Despite my hurry I usually enjoy eating at Granny’s and wanted them to give them my business instead of a convenience store. So I dealt with the sorry service thinking they will be quitting soon enough and I won’t have to worry about it anyway.

I ordered 2 pieces of pie and 2 cups of coffee to fuel up and get back on the road. I waited while my chubby blonde waitress wattled around trying to look busy and do nothing at the same time (You know act like they are working; also she was one of the people complaining about money. )

I finally just got up and went to pay my check at the counter I would have understood if it was crowded (But 3 cars in the lot and 6 people was really no excuse for being slow).

I was stunned when I was told that my home made/squished/not appealing looking pie (that was said to be home made, but looked suspiciously like store bought) was going to cost me $16.00 !!!

The coffee was out of a regular coffee maker and the pie was something from a grocery store bakery. I literally paid for both a whole pie and a large container of coffee.

Felt completely ripped off. Most places owned by non cooperate mom and pop organizations are $20.00 for 2 people to eat a burger drink and fries. I felt ripped off and angry for the owner.

Now keep in mind I don’t mind paying for good food. As a matter of fact I paid 120.00 dollars for a nice lunch in Asheville.
But sub par food, a sorry staff and being over priced to the extreme.

I know I will never eat there again and all because of a few employees with a cancerous attitude who have absolutely no regard for the business they work for. Plus being charged enough to be shocked and then get a smart remark form a chubby brunette with a bad attitude as well.

It made me sick to my stomach as I walked out knowing that other people would have a similar experience to mine.

Do yourself a favor don’t waste your time just stop at the convenience store or the fast food places next door.

You will just get ripped off and aggravated eating at Granny’s Kitchen.

Where you get service with a smirk!
