Every dish is beautifully prepared and bursting with flavor. The tomato soup en croûte is a must, rich, velvety, and topped with a perfectly golden puff pastry that melts in your mouth.
Service is friendly, professional, and perfectly paced, you can tell the staff take pride in what they do. The wine list is excellent, with great local selections that pair beautifully with the food.
It’s the kind of place that makes you slow down, savor, and truly enjoy every bite. Whether you’re a Napa regular or just visiting, Bistro Jeanty is a timeless, must-visit spot that captures the magic of French dining in the valley.
This informal setting serves up authentic provincial French cuisine in very consistent and well made portions. The rotating and seasonal menu with fixed favorites are worth a return visit. The quality ingredients are evident in every morsel and the serving sizes are appropriate. A good balance of flavors is well matched with the attentive and knowledgeable servers.
The bistro remains consistent in its environs with a loyal clientele making the place often crowded and busy as local communal provincial bistro can be.
Three main areas are available from the bar and entrance room, a main dining and a rooted open area with heated tables.
Reservations are much recommended
Definitely a must culinary experience
The food was amazing and super comforting, the kind that just makes you happy. Such a cute spot for a relaxed meal and good company. Would definitely come back
But.
Interaction with server was quite cold. I’m working in a fine dining restaurant so I know how does it feel sometimes to get a single diner on a Saturday night and from my observation that’s how my server felt.
I wasn’t asked for allergies. No one told me a single word about menu, drinks or specials while two tables next to me who joined patio shortly were given entire tour . Server dropped a check on the table together with dessert and didn’t even ask if I want anything else. That made me feel rushed. So overall not the experience I was looking for.
P.S. – please check your restrooms more often. It was nasty. Paper towels everywhere, trash basket overflown.
