My family and I were passing through on our way to the airport and wanted to try a restaurant that we don’t have back home so we decided to check out Pollo Tropical. The service, food, value, and atmosphere was all okay. We’re happy we stopped in, but will probably try something else next time.

I placed an order today with the app. I went to the store and got my order. I order to this Pollo because its 3 minutes from my house, but they ALWAYS mess something up. i have had to return in the past because they’ve forgotten the cheesy yuca bites, no dressing for the salads, and just full meals missing. I have never had a piece of paper receipt in my food though. Today i found a piece of paper mixed in with the salad that appeared to have been written on. It was very off putting.

You have to visually check your food every single time before you leave or they try to shortchange you on the amount of meat they use. It’s unbelievable. You’d think that they’d go hungry if they gave you what you paid for (see picture).

Pulled up and went through the drive through and Michael took our order we forgot our glasses so he took the time to read us the menu I definitely appreciate his patience and understanding he didn’t rush us at all and helped us customize our order a bit as I wanted my meal a certain way . Also it as fairly humid outside and would be nice if you could give those guys some type of fan or a cooling station but I know it’s a stretch just thought I’d ask for them. Corn was horrible and tough no sweetness to it the chicken was a but dry but overall I give it a solo 7 out of ten and your meal don’t come with drinks just an fyi

What did last night for dinner? The food was excellent very tasteful. Very delicious. but what was not delicious was the service if I can give this place a zero for Service I would I still therefore 30 minutes waiting to order my food a heavyset, Spanish lady with a ball cap and glasses asked me are you waiting on food or did you order? I said no ma’am I would like to order and she just walked away and left me standing there. Some guy came along. He said did you order yet? I said no I said I miss standing here waiting. The lady asked me did I want to order and she walked away he said I’m sorry. not all them, but the bad apples that they do have are very, very very not friendly at all because I was trying to get a couple of their attention so I could make my water, but they just kept walking past like they didn’t see me like I was invisible like I was a ghost. I don’t speak Spanish. I know a little bit of Spanish, but not that much but these people here and their service and customer service is very poor.

UPDATE!! DO NOT ORDER THE TRIO PLATE..JUST GOT HOME FROM POLLO IN HOMESTEAD ON 288TH AND YET AGAIN..FALSE ADVERTISING..NO CHIMICHURI SAUCE WITH MY TRIO PLATE AS ADVERTISED FALSELY. ON TOP OF THAT, THE GIRL AT THE WINDOW SAID IT WAS IN MY BAG..NOT!!! ALSO THE SUPPOSED CHURASCO WAS HARDER THAN BRICKS AND THE 4 LECHE I ORDERED WAS A FROZEN BRICK. I AM DONE WITH THIS POLLO TROPICAL.
Drive thru service is a mess. Hate not being able to order at boad. Always forget something I ordered even after asking. Why advertise chimichurri if you never have or give it. Super long drive thru lines.

I gave another chance to this location is even worst now prices went up the amount of food went smaller they barely put any chicken on the tropichop fill it up half away just ridiculous pay 10 bucks seem like they feeding a toddler and if you buy the big one they give the same amount of chicken with bunch of rice either pollo tropical have money problems or they simply don’t want to cook food I pay money I should get what I pay for . update on this dumpster today August 29 2025 after coming out for surgery I gave this place another and ordered a soup OMG I keep on getting fooled again again

My food was good but not what the picture showed. I ordered the trio. Got a breast and wing instead, but I was ok with that. The misses asked for two legs and received a leg/thigh section instead, I asked if they could fix it and they said they don’t do that. The restroom needed attention (no towels) and the floor… overall after traveling to many of these restaurants throughout Florida I was a bit thrown off. I am attaching some pictures of the place and food.
