The Vazquez family are natives of Mexico, born in the village San Pedro in Puebla. In 1983, the first generation of Vazquez family came to the United States. For more than 23 years they were employed in Mexican restaurants some family members worked in kitchens while others worked as bus boys and waiters. After many years of hard work, the family decided to open their first business, known as El Mexicano Restaurant located in Hudson Falls, New York. In 2009, the Vazquez family opened their second El Mexicano Restaurant in Saratoga Springs, New York. Everything was amazing! The food was excellent, the best cocktails ever and the atmosphere was just perfect.
The staff was absolutely lovely and very welcoming.

This is the BEST Mexican food in Saratoga and vicinity, very authentic. The margaritas are great too and service is impeccable. The restaurant is decorated like a Mexican cantina making it a perfect setting to enjoy their tasty menu!

Everything about this place is authentic! The carne in the tacos was tender, seasoned to perfection, and so delicious. I grew up in Phoenix eating true Mexican cuisine and this definitely takes me back. Even the clean fabulouso smelling bathroom was comforting
The server was attentive and very friendly. Our meals came out hot and we didn’t have to wait long at all.
All around a great experience. Next time we pass through, we will definitely come back!

Fantastic find! I ordered takeout by phone, the service was excellent by phone as well as on my arrival, with multiple people helping move things along without dilemma.
Ordered a dinner entree which came with a giant bag of complimentary, housemade tortilla chips and salsa. If you frequent at Mexican restaurants and crave that authentic yellow rice, quality meats like chicken that is cooked well with adobe spices, and savory salsas with homemade chips, this is your next must try!
My only regret was ordering to go, because the atmosphere was spectacular! There is an adorable outdoor patio dining space with coverage and lights, and a nice bar at the front of the restaurant.

I was skeptical because there were mixed reviews & when we arrived the parking lot was empty. Truthfully I thought it was a different restaurant that I had enjoyed several times before but …let’s adventure!
We both enjoyed our meals & the service was excellent. The menu was not as varied as others but it was delicious, freshly made & promptly served. The flan (a must have for me) was one of the best I’ve had. Oh & the restaurant was filling up by the time we having dessert.

This place is fun for looks and great service. Free chips and quesadillas BUT the price is crazy. $10 for cheese dip. Four tacos for $30. And it didn’t even taste authentic. I know Mexican food and this place is too American. Even the salsa has sugar in it and taste sweet instead of favorable like watery ketchup. I won’t go back again. I was charge $7.50 for club soda. I think our waiter noticed we didn’t eat the food and wanted to give us complimentary dessert but we are gluten free. He tried. He can’t compete with the prices and food lacking in flavor. We got the tacos asados and nope…not good. One tortilla instead of two. No veggies. No flavor on the meat. Little dish of rice and beans. The guacamole was good tho. The nachos my husband got were tasty…but way too expensive. I have had better at an American restaurant. They need to take some lessons from places that make food from scratch and maybe make the salsa in front of you if you want to charge SO much for cheap plates. Mexican food is CHEAP to make so why the high price?

This place was one of the highlights of our group trip to Saratoga. Our server, Roberto, was exceptional and tended to our every need. The second we sat down we were greeted with chips/salsa and warm complimentary cheese quesadillas, which none of us has ever seen before.
