OMGoodness. Goodness is what defines this restaurant. The food is amazing and the choices are incredible. My favorite was the pot roast, the warm home baked bread, and mashed potatoes. My husbands favorite was the Mac n cheese and meatloaf. Of course, the custard pie and brownie topped it off!

The food was pretty good and fresh. There was a large variety of options including vegan and gluten free. The omelet guy is absolutely amazing. The restaurant was clean and organized. Our server was pleasant and kept dirty plates off the table and drinks filled. We did have an issue with undercooked sausage patties but our server took care of it right away. Shelby did a great job. One drawback was the amount of noise.

The food is similar to style and options as Golden Corral but better since the food was higher quality. The steak was decent for a buffet but it could use some more seasoning. The hushpuppies and the fried fish had a nostalgic taste but in a good way. The desserts were the star of the show especially the bread pudding and the amount of pie options on the dessert line. I noticed that the process to pay is at the counter by the silverware, drinks, and trays which is different than most places. Overall, it was worth the drive from Kansas City.

Every town should have a place like this. All of the food was as good as I’ve had at any buffet. I arrived at 4 and there was plenty of customers. A testimony to how good it is. It’s not fine dining, it’s a home style buffet and they deliver with tasty main dishes and sides. What really makes it great is the homemade rolls and desserts. The service was excellent too. Laurie was friendly and did an awesome job.

While traveling for work, the HB and co-worker had lunch at Dietz Family Buffet. It was a little disappointing.
For starters, it was a bit pricey. The selection was pretty good, and the pot roast was really tasty. But some of the other items were kind of bland.
The major issue was my co-worker grabbed a bowl for ice cream and it was very dirty. And I noticed a few dirty items as well.
I know the locals were there in force, and I’m glad about that. But that will probably be my last trip to Dietz.

What I experienced was an American buffet that covered all the bases. From awesome mashed potatoes and gravy and yeast rolls to all the fixings for any kind of salad you wanted to the most awesome desserts I’ve had in years. Even the sweet tea tasted better than I’ve had in a long time. I will definitely be returning to this wonderful establishment in the future.

My wife and I had an absolutely amazing meal here! We just tried Dietz for the first time tonight and it was more than we were expecting. We used to go to Charley’s outside of Cole Camp and were bummed when it closed but this establishment is everything we missed and some! The employees were great and the food was amazing! Can’t wait to go back once I recover from the food coma I’m currently in from eating WAY too much!

Stoped along a 2-day road trip for an early dinner. Food was good and there were a variety of desserts, including sugar-free options! Service was fast and friendly. Great salad bar too. Overall, it’s not fine dining, but as far as buffets go, it was a good one and I would go again. I ranked the atmosphere a little lower. The restaurant atmosphere itself was fine and as expected for a buffet. However, there was one customer that seemed to be a local, possible regular. She felt the need to watch a video or movie on her phone in the middle of dining without headphones. Most of the surrounding tables kept looking her way. I sort of wish that a server would have politely asked her to turn her volume down or possibly wear headphones as it was disrupting the ambient music playing in the restaurant for the other patrons and I personally think it was quite rude and annoying.
