The fried chicken sandwich was so delicious and cooked all the way which is a big thing.
I also got the combo fries and onion rings, the onion rings are really good, the fries were kind of meh which is saying a lot as a fry guy.
They were seasoned with something a little salty and had a nice little kick to it. I would get the onion rings again but not the fries.
I wanted a soda but the prices are crazy high for a fountain beverage. Also no military discount for anyone who may be curious. There is also no seating inside and only two tables across the way, it is more of a fast food/take and go place.
Overall I paid $13.02

Heard good things about this joint, so decided to check it out. It’s a standalone hole-in-the-wall. Very humble appearance belies the amazing food awaiting your order. Got the Philly with fries. The meat was juicy and tender, with no gristle, very well-seasoned, and generously portioned. The sandwich was served piping hot on a soft, buttery roll with gooey cheese throughout that stayed melty until the last bite. It was absolutely delicious. The fries (ordered separately) were hot, fresh, and coated in a savory seasoning that complemented the sandwich. Can’t wait to try a burger next time (and maybe a custome shake)!

I’ve grown up on south federal so grandpas has always been a staple. It had been along time since I had it. We went and got burgers and fries and they were delicious. The fries well seasoned and the burger perfectly cooked. The shake was delicious. Service was good. There was a homeless lady asking everyone for money and food while we waited but she was not aggressive and it didn’t affect my food. Grandpas is as good as remember. The food size is good too

A true hidden gem! The burger was juicy and flavorful, topped with crispy bacon and spicy jalapeños—an awesome combo. The chili fries were delicious and hearty. I’d love to see green chile added as an optional topping—it would take the flavor to the next level. Great local spot for a satisfying meal. I’m definitely coming back.

Great experience overall! My burger was sooo good that it made me feel like a kid again! The place has a very nostalgic feel to it, the staff were friendly and respected the fact it was my first time. The fries were fresh and perfectly seasoned, the onion rings were crispy on the outside tender on the inside, and the burger was cheesy and juicy. To top it all off I got a strawberry shake that was rich and thick. Highly recommend!

I really liked this smash burger. I ordered the large double with cheese and bacon…this thing is LARGE. See pic. I also ordered onion rings which were good and a Jalapeno Shake. This shake was vanilla with spice of jalapeno. No chunks. It was good and interesting, but I would order an Oreo shake or one of my usuals next time. The lady I ordered from was very nice too! I’ll be back next time I’m in town.
