Not your typical “greasy diner.” We were passing through town and couldn’t decide what to eat so this place looked perfect with the extensive menu. First off, the yacht rock background music was a perfect noise level! I ordered the moussaka. My husband, the gyro. The salad that mine came with was small but wasn’t overpowered with dressing, which was nice. It had a lot of Greek seasoning instead. The moussaka was loaded with beef! It was a very substantial meal but not heavy. The price was incredibly reasonable for the amount of food.

We have been here several times for breakfast. Nothing fancy just good groceries. Its been here for a while so it as a used, comfortable feel to it. Christina served us breakfast this morning, refilled drinks, checked on us a couple of times. Good food good, good service.

We got the roasted tomato and bacon skillet AND the corn beef hash skillet. More food than we could eat. Sooooo good. The biscuits and bread look homemade. They have a nice selection of bakery made cakes that look amazing! Service was great. The prices are very reasonable. The bathroom was clean.

I ordered house salad and catfish. The salad was the best part of the meal. The slaw was served in the same tiny container as the ketchup. Which was a good thing, they didn’t have much to throw away. The fries were lukewarm at best. For fries, that is basically cold. The catfish, I expected a fillet, what I was served were 3 fish sticks.
The waitress asked what I wanted to drink and took my order. Someone else brought me my order. The waitress slid my water on the table as she walked by. Not even slowing down. After I finished the portion I ate, the waitress delivered the check and ask if everything was okay. I replied it was barely okay. She gave me this weird look and then just turned around and walked off. Needless to say this was my first and last visit to the diner.

After an early morning football game we were all hungry. Nothing really sounded good until I mentioned the Sugar Hill Diner.
As usual, it was packed. As soon as you walk in, you are facing the dessert case. There was a lot to choose from. We didn’t have to wait long to be seated. Our server was extremely busy but she still managed a smile. She took our drink order. When she returned we were ready to order. Our orders encompassed a wide variety of their offerings. There was pancakes, sausage, bacon, corned beef hash, biscuits, gravy, toast, scrambled eggs and eggs sunny side up, fried potatoes and of course we had grits. Everything was to perfection. It smelled wonderful and tasted even better. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. She mentioned she was a little overwhelmed. She is getting married next week and her wedding planner just quit. We congratulated her on her upcoming marriage.
As we were leaving we stopped by the dessert case for another look. It was too early for dessert. But, we ordered a variety to take with us to enjoy later.
I had my blueberry cheesecake while writing this review. I don’t have the words to describe how good it was.

We have been here several times. Sunday after church. It’s usually busy but service is usually quick and courteous. Other days usually are not as busy. Food is cooked as ordered, large portions, and delicious. Everything is great from breakfast to dinner food items. They never disappoint.

First time visiting Sugarhill Diner and it did not disappoint! The place was busy, but the service was still friendly and fast. I ordered the Eggs Benedict with cheese grits, and both were absolutely delicious. The eggs were perfectly poached, the hollandaise sauce was rich and flavorful, and the cheese grits were creamy and packed with flavor. You can tell they really care about their food. Definitely planning to come back and try more from the menu!

This place was AMAZING I lived here for a year and never tried it out then, I was passing through with a friend and stopped in… couldn’t have made a better choice. It was 3:00 mid-week and there was no crowd. We were seated immediately, served immediately, food was prompt, fresh and hot, & delicious … if you go before 4:00 ⏰ it’s still the lunch menu & what a value … our server was very attentive, friendly, kept our drinks filled and ask if we wanted it to go … I am vegan and the menu had vegan choices… I had an awesome vegy wrap with a slightly sweet sauce, my friend had a sumptuous gyro … the best ever … everyone was hospitable and friendly, on a very hot June day, we sat in a comfortable chilly booth… we didn’t have dessert but what was on the display looked fabulous. And I was quite surprised they have a bar for mixed drinks if that’s what you are looking for … It iwill be well worth a return trip.

Here for our 49th anniversary. Both of us had incredible chicken parm, and the cannoli was the best I’ve ever had! Chris is so sweet, and such a great server!
