I visited Frisch’s Big Boy in Popular Level today! This old style diner is a sleeper! The food was extremely delicious and the service was A1! Mr. Cleo was my server and he made me feel like I was part of the Frisch’s family! I drove 3 hours to experience the Frisch’s mystic! Thank you Popular Level Frisch’s Big Boy! I will return again!

Greeted immediately after entering. Seated quickly. Our service was outstanding. My cousin ordered the Big Boy platter and I ordered the Double Big Boy. It tasted as good as it did the first time I ate one in the 70’s. I am so glad this Frisch’s Big Boy is still operating. So many in Kentucky have closed. Also the Cole slaw and fries on the platter were delicious. The fries were right out the fryer as we could not eat them until they cooled down. I will be back soon.

Just the same as Frisch’s has been in all my 5 plus decades. The Super Big Boy was out of this world delicious! The service was outstanding from all staff! We brought a whole coconut cream pie back home with us.

The food was decent for a breakfast bar. Not a huge selection. You can order from the menu. My wife enjoyed the breakfast burrito. A little run down but this place is a historic landmark. The service was provided by a single server for the entire restaurant, and she did a wonderful job.

10/8/25 update: EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE!!! Shawntay (I think that’s her name) did an amazing job serving. Gave me lots of tartar sauce for my fries, food was amazing, everything looks like the images. I’m still obsessed with this fact. Frisch’s supremacy!

We had a bad experience there although the staff were so nice and tried to help , regardless of the service delays ( honestly the staff were nice and apologized for it) the food wasn’t as we expected and as it is in the other big boy restaurants and the drink so bad we couldn’t even drink it and we told them we will not pay for it as the drink was untouched because of its bad taste. We love big boy and go to it frequently but this branch needs more attention especially the buffet area.

Not our typical diner experience. We traveled to see the cave of lights and saw the diner. Normally we love diner food. Bigger servings, home style food and fair prices. Servings here are small! Fish and chips=2 small fish filets. Ordered the 2 grilled chicken breast with side meal and was given a chicken sandwich, even after telling them it wasn’t what I ordered I was then given 1 plain grilled chicken breast on a bun. Then my bill I was charged for a side when it was included in my meal. Everything was fixed eventually but I would not return here.
