I came to La Espiguita Bakery for some Colombian food and the flavors were great. I had one main suggestion that would make things much better!
I ordered the Buñuelo. It tasted good, but it was not hot enough. It should be piping hot. Also, it needs more cheese inside. If it was hot and had more cheese, it would be perfect.
I also had the Arepa de Chocolo. The sweet corn flavor was delicious. Just like the buñuelo, it was not hot enough. It needs to be served hot so the cheese melts.
Overall, great taste, but please serve the food much hotter!

It was amazing, and my old review still stands, but a warning, my sister is really picky so she made sure with my mom she got a chocolate cake, but once we got home and sliced it at night, it was vanilla. She was so upset. Luckily they gave us a major discounr next time due to this but that is an issue to worry about! Still though, We’ve come here since we were kids and it NEVER disappoints!

This bakery is an absolute gem! From the moment you walk in, the smell of fresh pandebono and buñuelos is incredible. I tried the pan de bono (warm and perfectly cheesy) and a chicken empanada (flaky crust and deliciously seasoned filling).
The arequipe-filled pastries were also to die for. The staff were so friendly and helpful, explaining the different breads to me. It felt like a little trip to Colombia.
I will definitely be back to try everything else! Highly recommended.

Doesnt get more delicious, fresh and authentic colombian food than this. I wish they served colombian fast food like perros calientes and butgers but really cant say anything bad. Service has improved a lot

I came early to the store to get drinks for my family who were leaving early to the airport. I waited about 1hr for my drinks, the store wasn’t even full the workers just took their sweet time. Mind you the drink I asked for had missing items.

I am a Brentwood Freshman Campus Special Ed Teacher and have ordered from La Espiguita every year for our student holiday feast. Not only are the empanadas the absolute best around for miles, the quality of customer service is AMAZING!

Everytime we come to Brentwood, we have to go to La Espiguita! They have so many different Hispanic foods, and desserts. We love the empanadas con carne and cheese ones are great too! Their pupusas are the bomb! And they got tres leches cake, and cheesecakes and all kinds of different goodies. They also have traditional drinks- like Morir Soñando! Their prices are decent, the people are welcoming. The location is right by the road and maybe a sketchy area, but we don’t care -we used to live there!
