MUST READ THE ENDING!!!! To understand pics! Since moving here to Enterprise Al. We have been to eat a few times at Santa Fe Cattle Co. and needless to say last night sat Jan 10th 2026 will be our last time going here! We arrived approximately at 6:20pm to have dinner! We asked to sit in bar area but would still be a wait but less time than a table so we waited even though was same wait time of 25 min or so and 3 empty tables that we could see was available in bar. So a little before 7pm, around 6:40 we was sat down in bar area to a new waiter (only 3days new) so we understood why they wasn’t seating him with a ton of tables. So we were his 2nd and only 2 tables to wait on. The couple next to use we could see started to become increasingly irritated by the lack of food and service but as did we! We placed our drink order and me and my youngest son received fairly fast our non alcoholic drinks and waited forever to get my husband’s draft beer! With our waiter not in sight and hadn’t been seen for sometime when we finally saw him he came to bring us some hot rolls (we still had no plates or silverware but trying to understand he is new but with only 2 tables and the lack of even seeing him we started to grow frustrated after 30min of waiting to see him again) we asked for rest of drinks and if we could place our order! My husband and I offered up some advice which he seemed very open to the constructive criticism and we mentioned we will tip good if you just check on us as we understand its not his fault the kitchen was so behind! He took our advice and kept drinks full and checked on us! So After being sat down till the time I went to find our waiter to see when we would be getting our food was 1hr and 30min so we are at about 8:10 and the other table in frustration had already left without getting any of there food! The waiter said he would get yelled at for asking how much longer till we would be receiving our food! I told him i didn’t want him to get yelled at! But he insisted he would check so i advised him if wasn’t coming out shortly we would take the check and pay for the drinks but was growing tired and not so hungry! He came back very shortly and advised any min food coming out and he was right as was right behind him! Upon receiving our food everyone’s was alright but mine was A RARE/RARE chopped sirloin (yes this is like a hamburger patty lol with brown gravy) and i had asked to NOT have mushrooms! So i sent mine back and asked them to just take off my ticket as i didn’t want to wait anymore! And then i excused myself from table to step outside to check on my lab that was at home having a complete melt down as we left him lol (he gets such bad anxiety when we leave him at home) and to my SURPRISE WHAT SEEMED LIKE THE WHOLE KITCHEN STAFF WAS OUTSIDE IN THE BACK VAPING AND TALKING / laughing it up! It was like they were having a party back there! I could be completely wrong. I try not to judge, but it was all starting to make sense! Especially with our waiter being New and only three days and I could see why he would say that the kitchen would get upset at him or yell at him if he wouldn’t asked about our food like he’d be interrupting them or was he in on this all and that’s why he was disappearing for long periods of time because he was in the back with them? Who knows! But I had seen enough! As I went to walk inside a couple was coming out and they saw exactly what I saw and they said that’s why our steak was burnt because they’re not even tending to our steaks!! I can assure you I will not go back here. It was not due to the waiter being new as we tipped him very well because he started being attentive to us. But Two hours to just get some rolls and one salad because we waited forever to get my Husband salad, which I don’t even know if he even ended up getting.

If you’re looking for a hidden gem, you need to check this place out!
The Texas-themed decor is full of charm, with fun taglines like “Common sense is not so common.” As soon as you’re seated, you’re treated to complimentary, fresh-out-of-the-oven buns served with cinnamon butter—absolutely delicious.
The food is hearty, home-style, and seriously satisfying. But what really made our visit special was our incredible waitress, Lisa. She was so thoughtful—bringing extra napkins for the kids without being asked, and even letting them choose the colors of their straws. It’s the little things that really stand out.
This was our second time dining here as a family, and we’ll definitely be back. Great food, great service, and a welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home.

I visited for a birthday lunch with my coworkers, and the server was very friendly. They even offered a brownie as a birthday treat, which was a nice touch. The food was good, and the prices were reasonable as well.

Wow lets start: We were in Enterprise for a local event. We had time to get dinner. We went to Santa fe. We have been there before. First thing, the entire place smelled horrible. There was dripping water coming from many places including the bathrooms. I slipped and almost fell in the womens room. Our waitress (although nice) was definitely on some type of substance. She brought nothing but napkins stating they were out of utensils (this was 5:30PM). She brings our drinks and bread. 2 of the 5 drinks were wrong. She says she found some plates for rolls. They were dirty. We order our food which was pretty decent. I had the burger (medium). My fries were cold. The kids wanted mac and cheese (waitress stated several times it was a new recipe). The new recipe was Kraft or maybe Walmart brand. Undercooked. The kids meals were no better than prison food. Oh and flies.. yes flies EVERY WHERE. Try and eat with flies.

Been coming here for years. Consider this restaurant a very close second to Big Mike’s in Andalusia. Close enough it wasn’t worth the drive to Big Mike’s. The food is still good, but the atmosphere and vibe from the staff is discouraging, and unsanitary complacency is disgusting. My 6 y/o accidentally spilled his drink making a pretty large mess. My daughter asked for napkins and a mop and they laughed and made underhanded comments, while another server was literally walking over and around the mess completely ignoring the issue. We were told they’re not allowed to bring out a mop around people eating. I responded with, “oh because leaving and mess and dangerous slip hazard is the better option?” Meanwhile, I’m not making this up, there were two blind people behind us trying to get out of their booth unknowing of the serious slip hazard my son had just created. We intervened to prevent further catastrophe. They eventually brought a mom with no bucket and pushed the drink around the floor until it was spread out enough to more rapidly evaporate. Then never offered to refill our spill drinks, or provide us with more napkins since we used ours in a desperate attempt to mitigate the problem. Then the remainder of the night I felt talk at instead of to. I say I because the server would not make eye contact with my wife, and would actually only communicate to my wife through me. It seemed we were a huge inconvenience. Our last visit was less than satisfying, but thought it might have been isolated. We’ve waited a few months and decided to bring the family up for supper. Apparently this isn’t isolated. Completely different wait staff, time of year, day of week, etc, yet same terrible service. Actually, horrible service. Oh yeah, and they cleaned no less than five tables and seats with the very same rag. Notice I “rag” isn’t plural. Probably the same one they clean the bathrooms with. I’ve also never seen this restaurant so dead, out of the years we’ve been coming here. They’ve always been so busy there was a wait time all the way up to the time they quit seating customers. I hope this isn’t an early sign of closure in their near future. I know we won’t be until we hear more positive reviews. Guess we’re going back to Big Mike’s. Especially since this is what they understand medium rare to look like.

The experience tonight was 1/10. We requested medium rare and all three were done. The roof was leaking on us in four different chairs. The waitress didn’t communicate clear. The macaroni and cheese looked like the cheap box of Kraft. We had to wait for our food to be served while other tables got their food first (they arrived later.) Our wait for our food was almost a hour.
Do better!

This mail was not all that I thought it would be. I tried the fajitas, but they placed their own spin on how they made them and it was a mess. They were OK but nothing I would write home about. The red beans and rice was a pleasant addition to the meal. Beware of the flavored tea,it is very, very sweet and the syrup seems like it’s overkill.

Sat at the bar and was greeted right away. I received a drink within a minute, and the service stayed fast and friendly the entire time. The atmosphere and food were great. Shout-out to Bo behind the bar. I asked for something tangy and not too sweet, and he found the perfect drink. Amazing service all around. I’ll definitely be back.

Went in this Sunday afternoon around 3:30PM. No one at the hostess stand for 5 minutes, although there are plenty of employees and it is a rather slow time, so we go straight to the bar.
Decent selection of craft beer on draft, but no menu for them. When asked, the bartender responded that “the handles are the menu”, although half are turned where you can’t read and/or only show the brewery and not the beer type. Very rude and unhelpful. All draft beers are over pressurized, so huge foam and the beer comes about 3/4 full due to the foam. Bartender left on numerous occasions and gone for 5 minutes or more at a time. No apparent supervision or management present.
Finally got to order burgers and when we ordered a “steak burger”, the guy was rude and pointed out that “they are all steak burgers and you need to choose one on the menu”. Burger was flavorful, although incredibly overcooked (ordered medium and it was well done). Bun was over toasted too. We ordered “all the fixings” and the chipotle mayonnaise was left off of both burgers. The amount of fries included was pathetic. Maybe 15-20 fries total.
Overall, a very disappointing experience. Decent food with lackluster service and rude employees. Until management/supervision is more involved to ensure good customer service, I don’t expect it to improve and I won’t waste my time with this establishment again.

I had such a great experience at Santa Fe Cattle Co in Hammond! I ordered the Southwest Cobb Salad, and it was absolutely delicious—super fresh, perfectly put together, and packed with flavor. Honestly one of the best salads I’ve had in a long time!
But what really made my visit memorable was the service. Daniel was my waiter, and he was FANTASTIC. Super friendly, attentive without being overbearing, and genuinely made me feel welcome. He checked in at all the right times and made sure everything was perfect from start to finish. You can tell he really cares about his customers and takes pride in his job.
If you go, definitely ask for Daniel
