Great place for coeliacs. You can build your own sandwich to have whatever you want in it and be assured the preparation will be safe because they’re very strick with changing gloves and preparing the gluten free on different surfaces. Theres even options to make your sandwich dairy free, though the GF does have milk in it. The tomato soup is GF/vegan too and is delicious. Felt safe eating here both days I was in DC.

Stopped into GCDC Grilled Cheese Bar while we were exploring D.C., and I’m so glad we did! It’s such a fun, laid-back place with a cool vibe — and the food totally hit the spot.
I had the Philly grilled cheese and a root beer, and let me tell you… that sandwich was incredible. Melted just right, packed with flavor, and super filling. It’s definitely not your average grilled cheese — this was next level.
Service was quick, the place was clean, and it’s in a great location. If you’re in D.C. and want something casual but still really tasty, this place is absolutely worth checking out!

While walking around and trying to get a break from the extreme cold, we by chance found this amazing spot! First the service was 100/10! Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. Environment was cozy,chill and clean. And most importantly, the food was delicious and fresh!!! Personally got the jalapeno bacon popper grilled cheese and tomato soup! Will definitely be back!

Traveling Writing
I can’t say a bad thing about this place. Our family (6 of us this day) came in for a break from DC walking. We ordered 5 grilled cheese sandwiches in all different types, and one of the buffalo chicken Mac and cheese bowls. The food was amazing. Rosco, the young man who took our order and served us was professional, very friendly, sociable, and spot on. He really added to the experience here. We plan on being back in DC for more sightseeing in a few weeks. We’ll be back for sure!

Amazing service and food overall. One of my friends who has celiacs also loved it and said it was the best gluten free bread she’s had. It looks very similar to regular bread and also still tastes really good according to her.

This place is a gem! I love this food, I don’t even like the grill cheese, their Mac and cheese is so good. The only down side is that it’s almost robotic, no real customer service. There was another person who went in to get food for everyone he was eating with and it was clear who could not carry all of it and the workers there made no attempt to help (I ended up helping because he was struggling so much)

I got the bacon jalapeño grilled cheese, and made it a patty melt. It was very filling and tasted absolutely delicious. The sourdough bread was a 10/10, super crispy, just how I like it.
It was easy to order, you just used one of the tablet screens. And it was only a few minutes before our grilled cheeses were ready. Definitely recommend.
