Great location! This is by far one of the best Saltgrass restaurants I have been to. I stopped by on a work trip and so glad I did. Our waiter Ty was very kind and helpful with suggestions. He also made sure that we had everything we needed throughout our meal. The food was excellent! I really enjoyed the sirloin and sweet potato fries. A clean restaurant with a pretty view as well. 10/10 experience!

Amazing! We were there on New Year’s Eve to celebrate my son’s birthday. I had mentioned this in the reservation, and we got what I think was the best spot, right in front of the fireplace! The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive! All in all, a wonderful experience! Our meals were all excellent!

First time at Salt grass steak house visiting family and it was great! Brandon who was out serving us was friendly and guided us to order and everything arrived quickly and was served fresh. Brandon also was super attentive refilling drinks and managed to cater to everyone’s individual preferences. Really nice decor and atmosphere. First time in Texas so was great vibes. Quality of food was really good too.

We were greeted promptly and treated with the utmost care and consideration! Our server, Aless, was very attentive and knowledgeable. Jessica, the manager, assisted us with understanding our gift certificate and made she we got the best outcome possible. Truly a great experience all around! The service was excellent, and the food looked and tasted good except for the fact that my Urban Cowboy steak was cold. Didn’t make a big deal about it because we were already hungry before getting there and waiting an hour to get a table. I also gave them the benefit of the dought because it was super busy due to Spring Break, and I know the waiter was trying to bring all the food at once. Austin did a great job serving us and would highly recommend him to everyone.

Located on the Kemah, TX Boardwalk, this steakhouse offered great food and a lively atmosphere, but the service left room for improvement.
The meal started with a fresh house salad topped with ranch dressing. The vegetables were crisp, and the ranch was creamy and flavorful—exactly what you’d expect. The garlic mashed potatoes were smooth, buttery, and had just the right amount of garlic. The main course featured a medium-rare steak cooked to order, tender and juicy with a nice sear. The grilled shrimp added a nice touch, well-seasoned, and cooked perfectly.
The atmosphere was festive with holiday decorations and waterfront views, making it a fun spot for our Christmas party of 20.
Unfortunately, the service didn’t match the quality of the food or the setting. Orders were mixed up multiple times, and it took too long for the server to take orders or bring drinks. While handling a large group can be challenging, it felt like the staff just wasn’t prepared or focused.
Overall, I’d rate the food and atmosphere 5 stars, but the service gets 4 stars due to the repeated mistakes and delays. I’d go back for the food and location but would hope for a better service experience next time.
