The bad: my “old fashioned” was whiskey with an orange and a cherry. Missing a few ingredients. Bartender had the personality of a dead fly. Pour was the bare minimum corporate restaurant pour.. you made less money being greedy aka I stopped drinking and went to support a local joint.
The worst: BRISKET OF MY LIFE. Weapons grade dogfood (see pic). I’ve never had brisket that crumbled from heat lamp abuse. What did that poor dead cow do to you?
Edit to respond to the cut and paste they responded with: No. This stays as a warning to anyone that expects decent bbq. I don’t want a free meal after charging me $28 for a small amount of trash brisket.
Then after waiting about 20 minutes, they tell us they’re out of brisket. As a replacement, they sent us home with small container of banana pudding in the order.
The wings were genuinely bad — and that’s coming from someone who loves wings and rarely complains. Even after waiting another 30+ minutes, they weren’t worth it. The baked potato wasn’t cooked through. Ribs were underwhelming. Nothing really stood out in a good way.
My other half almost never complains about food, and he didn’t like anything on his plate either — especially the wings, which says a lot.
I don’t only post the good experiences. I really wanted this to be great, especially for what we spent. Unfortunately, it just wasn’t.
Breaking it down item by item—because almost everything had an issue—the brisket was completely dry, like it had been cooked a day or two before and reheated in a microwave. Same story with the ribs, sausage, and steak. The steak fries were so blackened I didn’t even recognize them as fries until I took a bite. Once I did, it was clear they’d been refried—edible, but not overly enjoyable.
The chicken might have been fresh, but it was still dry. The only real highlights were the peppers and the wings—they were actually decent. The mac & cheese was just that—mac & cheese. Nothing memorable, but not bad either. I managed to eat those and the steak fries, but that was about all I could get down.
Maybe it was just an off day in the kitchen, but for over $60, I felt pretty ripped off. The only reason this isn’t a 1-star review is because the staff was genuinely friendly and attentive. But based on the food alone, I seriously doubt I’ll be back.
