Pretty authentic Cajun food with just the right level of spice. Maque choix lacked sweet peppers but was otherwise nicely flavored. Soups were good. Beignets were not as airy as in NOLA but also tasted good. Minor misses but over all a good efforts. Nice people and good service añd a Cajun atmosphere. We actually stop there every time we drive by on I 85.

Our visit was even better than expected! The atmosphere felt like stepping into a spot near the marshlands, with a Bayou charm. I especially enjoyed the gumbo, they even bring a small taster first, which was so helpful in deciding what to order. The lobster bisque was also delicious, and the hush puppies with honey butter were a perfect side.

For dessert, be sure to ask for honey to go with it. it doesn’t come with it automatically, but it makes the dish even tastier. Also you can ask for less powdered sugar. I also had fun reading through the menu and trying to catch the French meanings behind the dishes.

Don’t let the strip mall location deter once you step inside, you’ll feel like you’ve been transported to a small command pop restaurant on the Bayou. Oh they also have outside seating as well. The service was excellent!

We went to this location because the one in downtown Greenville was closed. The atmosphere and food are nothing compared to the downtown location. Specifically the Cajun pasta Alfredo was very bland and not at all “Cajun” and was a small prom for dinner. The location doesn’t really have much of a vibe either. Hush puppies were really good, definitely the best food we had.

A few years ago this use to be one of my favorite spots to eat when visiting SC. I was completely turned off this go round. I ordered the crab balls and they were literally black from the old oil. The lemonade was extremely although i mixed it with sweet tea. I also had the shrimp and grits. They use to use either a size 13/15 or 16/20. Now it looks like they are using a size 21/25 or 31/40.
The grits barely fill the inside of the plate. The shrimp were flavorful but the rest was pretty bland. For almost $50,I was truly disappointed.

Honestly absolutely fantastic! The food is very reasonably priced, and fairly cheap considering other places in the area. Plenty of free parking. Staff was very kind and friendly. The restaurant was very clean and tables are spaced out so you don’t feel crammed in.

If you haven’t come here yet, shame on you. Absolutely fantastic food and service. Do you and your family a favor and try this place!

I went to the location downtown years ago and finally tried this one on Pelham and had a great time! It was busy, but not chaotic and all our food came out on time. The gator bites were delicious! I wish they would have had a few bigger pieces but that’s the luck of the draw. I got the Cajun salad with catfish and it was cooked perfectly. And such large pieces! The beignets were to die for. I mean who doesn’t like fried dough with powdered sugar? Our server was very attentive and friendly. It’s a great place to have a good dinner without the hustle and bustle of downtown.

Ordered to go. First time at this location. The jambalaya I had today tasted like it was microwaved and was very dry. Barely any flavor and had parts beneath the bed of rice where it was cold and you can tell it was not fresh. Very disappointed. The other location served fresh food. Service was good and had my food ready on time but the food itself was not up to par.

We had a really great experience here on an overnight thru the area. We travel a lot and really rely on the reviews to help us figure out a good stop when you only really have the chance for one stop.

Overall the local reviews either seemed outstanding or harsh

We were very pleased…it is not New Orleans but felt the dishes to be fresh, well prepared and representative.

Would recommend you to enjoy too!!

Our waiter was awesome. He answered any questions about food I had never had. We had catfish bites for an appetizer and the were seasoned and cooked perfectly. I then had Voodoo pasta, and, OMG! Perfect!! Perfect creamy deliciousness! Hubby had red beans and rice and said it was delicious too! We will be going back when back in Greenville!
