Went with a group of friends. Been to various City BBQ locations lots of times. This one is conveniently close to the nearby Glow Putt. Overall a very good experience. Main negative was that my brisket was cool/room temp. But the beans were good and heated. Others said their chicken was plenty warm enough, if not hot. Our table needed cleaning, and the one trash bin near us was overflowing, but someone did empty it while we were there. Plenty of tables and no wait for that, but there was a line to order and took a few minutes but moved quickly. Overall the food was good and the place was pretty clean and well kept. I’d recommend going and would go again myself.

Awesome BBQ place. Big dining room with lots of tables. The prices are a little high, but worth it. The food is delicious!!! Bunch of classics, and a couple of unique items. Lots of local flare. Really enjoyed my stop here. All of the staff were super friendly and smiley. Would definitely return to this establishment again.

Had a fantastic experience here with Barry at the counter. He was kind and explained the menu well. He even knew the artist on my shirt. The restaurant was clean, food was hot, fresh, and a good value. I much preferred the regular size sides with extra sides. The collards were perfect as well as the gluten-free french fries! My meat was not too fatty and the sausage was one of the best I’ve had!

Had a great experience with this city bbq. The food was great as always but the staff were superb! I was helped by Erin and she was so nice and recommended the brisket and pulled chicken. It was excellent! She even recommended the banana pudding which is a new favorite and I’ll have to make a trip just for the desert! The restroom was out of paper towels but when I let the guy (didn’t catch his name) bagging food know he refilled it right away! Will definitely be going again.

If you’re looking for an authentic American bar in town, Gahanna’s is a textbook restaurant! From the crispy fried chicken with its secret sauce to the hearty side dish platters that are a must at every table, every bite hits the “comfort food” spot. At $20 per person, the restaurant manages to combine portion size with quality – the $24 Neil’s Set Meal is big enough for two. The team led by veteran Agar is the highlight, with Kesha and Monty serving like old friends, and even the placement of the sauce bottles showing the tacit understanding of a decade of experience. The cornbread is a little dry, but in the air of wall-to-wall photos of regulars and blues music, this regret instantly melts away as part of the rugged American flavor!

Every time I visit city barbecue I get fantastic service. Ronald up front is always very friendly and makes sure I get exactly what I ask for. He’s also great at making suggestions when I am unsure of what I want to eat and I’ve got to say all of his suggestions have been great thus far.

I absolutely love city bbq, but this location is not consistent with the others. The meat was extremely dry, sides tasted like they had been heated for days, and the hip-hop music blasting from the kitchen was competing with the restaurant music, very unpleasant atmosphere – especially with kids. I always opt for city bbq when available, but would rather eat at the McDonald’s across the street than at this location again.

Very delicious food and exceptional customer service. I placed a large order on short notice, but the team made it happen. I would especially like to recognize Agar, who went above and beyond to ensure our order was put together and ready for us on time. I highly recommend this place.
