We had a terrific experience at Sonny’s BBQ in Wesley Chapel Florida. We ordered a platter which was phenomenal, way too much food for the 5 of us, enough for many more meals at home. I love Texas style BBQ beans and these were among the best I’ve ever had. The smoked meats were very, very good too. I highly recommend giving them a try, you might be lucky enough to see a celebrity or two there also as well did.

Stopped by Sonny’s BBQ in Wesley Chapel and had an awesome experience. Service was super quick, and Lola (our waitress) was friendly, attentive, and on top of everything. Please pass a big thank-you to the manager and the rest of the staff too — the whole team was great. The restaurant was very clean, the ribs and brisket tasted amazing, and everything came out fast and fresh. Definitely will be back for the great food and awesome service!

Amazing hospitality and service. The staff was very friendly and prompt. The brisket was slightly overcooked. The chicken and the ribs were perfectly cooked. The original barbecue was evenly tangy with a touch of sweetness.

Only been to Sonny’s a few times. Happy to see they still have good food and reasonable prices. Pork plate, side, and drink $10.99. Sauces are awesome. We shall return.

Excellent BBQ. Got the $12 special they had with ribs, pulled or sliced pork, 2 sides and a large piece of garlic bread or corn muffin. Choices of sauces. Very good; took home half of mine, the order is so big.

Everything was on point except for the temperature of the food! The flavors were flavoring ok Florida! I see you! Thanks Sonny’s for coming through with the BBQ. Bones left on the plate and sticky fingers! Well done! And the staff were great!

Very disappointing experience. The portion was smaller than expected and more than 50% of the meat was just fat. This is completely unacceptable. The quality was terrible. I’m sure this happened because it was a pickup order—it’s hard to believe they would serve something this bad if you were dining in. I have pictures of everything. Customers should not receive food like this after paying for a meal.

Seated quickly but waited over 10 to 15 minutes for a server. Almost left, but one waitress, Jamie, kindly took our order, and she provided exceptional service. Three stars for service since we waited so long but 10 service from server Jamie. Food was was good as always. 4.5 $$

This is our place to go on Saturday for lunch with our family. Our favorite waitress Jamie always accommodates us as we have two special needs adults with autism and she treats them like her own. They love her and asked to come every week to eat and visit. The other staff are very friendly as well. The food is always good “Jamie always make sure it is and specifically to our needs”. My Son and Granddaughter loves to have their birthday party here which Jamie really makes it special for them. We’re so thankful for Jamie

I should have known better than to order through the drive thru, because you can’t check everything. Normally the food is not bad but today was an exception. I ordered the 4 meat meal but I didn’t know one portion would be all fat. I also ordered a grilled cheese sandwich kids meal and they told me it tasted bad, the outside looked fine but when I opened it up I saw the problem. I also ended up with someone else’s corn nuggets and not the okra I ordered. I reached out to customer service and was told oops we will try better next time. Not a good response considering all the other food options in the area.
