I ordered my food one hour before they were about to close. I still took my order with such wonderful attitude! Not to mention they did not forget any forks or spoons or napkins and you could tell they were so tired! And they worked so hard! I had a wonderful experience! And I thank them for taking me one hour before they were about to close that is impeccable customer service! Not to mention I ordered fried catfish, collard greens, and candy yams. It was 100% delicious! The fried catfish was so crunchy! It was so good I forgot where I was at for a second. The food is just simply good. I can’t wait to come back! 🙂

My husband and I were in town this past weekend for a staycation We stopped by this restaurant as we had a craving for some soul food and baby they did not disappoint The cat fish was delicious and the greens were so tasty The Mac and cheese was okay but still mentionable And baby that lemon crunch cake is not to be left behind The portion size and price point were on point. I recommend this restaurant and can’t wait to stop in again

I’ve had mixed reviews about Southern Blues since they only had one location in Liberty Rd. I needed to get a gift card so decided to go to the Harford Rd location. (Sidebar: if you need a gift card, you can get it online. The restaurant didn’t have physical gift cards but I was able to purchase an electronic w/ an option to send to myself or the recipient via text.) I know people who love the turkey wings so I decided to try them along with the BBQ boneless short ribs and fried smothered pork chops. I was impressed because the prices matched the portion sizes. Everything tasted good. Overall, this time I’ll say I would return for food.

It was smooth sailing From creating the menu I wanted to the delivery, The food was amazing. I asked for delivery and when they arrived, the food was hot and ready to eat. They catered my sis party and all i can say is the mac was good and the cornbread. The large tray of chicken was hard as hell and the fish was hard. String beans taste like can beans…not a good look…For $400 it should have been allot better. Not my cup of tea… not everyone like their food fried extra hard. It was tuff.. 2 stars on the food… the mix chicken was not mixed just big breasts and thighs my first and last time.

Love your food. Catfish, delicious, 1/2 chicken, delicious as well. Tried the Pig Feet and they are good also, though would like more meat on them. The fat is good, as I do like the fat on steak and roast, but would like more meat on the feet. They are great though. Mac and Cheese, Collard Greens, Sweet Potatoes and Green beans out of this world. Just like my grandma’s Alabama cooking. Gonna try everything on that menu. You are the greatest and thank you for allowing this for us in the community! The ribs are delicious also!!

Say, I would’ve given ALL 5☆, but the cashier( young man ) was NOT to customer friendly maybe because of when I arrived , which was near their closing time, but still does NOT give him a reason or excuse. However, the meal that I purchased was really good, plentiful, and reasonably priced.
*Actually, the doors were locked when I arrived around 9:35 p.m.-ish, but there was a guy cleaning up( mopping floors ) who unlocked the door to let me in. I greeted him and thanked him. He was very customer friendly and professional. He was giving the staff directives, so I’m guessing he was the manager or owner, big-ups to him. By the way, I had the GRILLED SALMON.

The food is still good. They could definitely stuff the sides better, especially for the prices they charge. The food is never old or dried out.
It’s great to actually have a soul food location that’s worth the price and wait time.

First time my parents came here for lunch and the food was salty and no flavor! The cabbage, chicken and greens tasted like it was day old food that was reheated and served. Will NEVER come back again. The food needs to be FRESH and seasoned with flavor NOT SALT !
