Great spinner with my wife and mother in law! We had lasagna that was perfectly balanced between pasta, meat and cheeses. The Linguini with Clam Sauce was perfect was light, balanced and had whole clams in the shell. My wife enjoyed Cavatelli with Broccoli and Mushrooms in a Cream sauce where the broccoli was tender but not soft adding wonderful flavor to the pasta. Our appetizers included (we were overeating tonight) the Artichokes and Cheesy Garlic Bread were spot on. The artichokes were molten so be careful when biting in! The cheese garlic bread was honestly the best we’ve had. Finished up with Cannolis and an espresso. The cannoli has a crisp shell with a filling that is not too heavy or light – I always get that at Guidos.

We had the opportunity to meet one of the owners, Miguel from Madrid. Ask him about the bull’s head in the dining room! Try to get the table by the fireplace in the winter. We can’t wait to get back and dig deeper into the menu.

I ordered the Meatball Sandwich. Overall, it was a good sized sandwich, with about five two inch meatballs. The meatballs were a little bland, and I would have liked more sauce on them. The bread was tasty, with a nice chew to it. The sandwich came with a good sized order of fries that were seasoned well.
The restaurant was decorated well for Christmas and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Service was great and the waiter was very helpful with choosing items to order. All the food was good but I would say the item I enjoyed most was the empanadas. The potatos in the albandigas caseras dish were very good too. Would go back again to try more food and order the chef special empanadas (currently sweet potato)

We had tapas. Bowl Midwest style chili (good), croquettes (minimal flavor) , empanadas (excellent), marinated artichokes ( very good), cod in marinara sauce (excellent). Great atmosphere, good time!

Absolutely incredible Italian American food. I was in town for a conference and a local (Sue from the arch) recommended this place. Wasn’t sure at first if it would hold up to the standard she described but my goodness was I wrong! It is the best Italian American food I’ve had in a long time.

We moved to STL 10 years ago from NY, NJ & Boston which in our opinion has some of the most authentic and tasteful Spanish, Italian & seafood. Sadly, the restaurants in STL have always left us underwhelmed and longing for a great meal – UNTIL TONIGHT! Everything we ordered was cooked to absolute perfection & bursting with flavor. The shrimp was fresh, crisp & not rubbery. The lamb & beef tenderloin were spot on with the temperatures and the seasoning. I almost cried finally feeling we had a meal that was outstanding & cooked by someone who truly cared about our experience and what they were serving. We had flan and tirimisu for dessert- equally as delicious. We have finally found our go to restaurant that makes us feel like we’re back east right here in STL! We will definitely be back to work our way down the menu. Thank Guidos for a lovely & delicious night out. OH & we asked about gluten free foods as our son has celiacs & we’re told they offer GF pasta & pizza!! I know he’ll be as thrilled as we were tonight. Should you decide to go -Haley was our server and really helped make our night. She recommended the sangria & 2 of the dishes which we wouldn’t have tried without her help. So glad we did!

I had family in town, and we had reservations for 13. The staff had everything ready when we arrived. The server was friendly and knowledgeable and always on time with the drink refills. The food was excellent, which I fully expected because I had been here many times. Everyone raved about what they ate, and the service was top-notch. Thank you to the staff at Guido’s for making this time with my family very special.

Forgot the food pictures but.. we had cannelloni, spaghetti and meatballs, cheese garlic bread, toasted ravioli, pizza, pasta con broccoli, chicken marsala, linguine with seafood…. ALL hot.. ALL excellent.. and what was most impressive is it didn’t take long at all, 10 out of 10.

You have to get the cannelloni with a side of cheese garlic bread… great for dipping.

Side note #3 – noise was moderate to loud, but 90% of it was created by us… sorry to the others around us.

I had such a great experience at Guido’s on the Hill! Our server Eric was excellent—super friendly, very professional, fun to talk to, and gave awesome explanations of the menu. It was my first time on the Hill, and he really made the experience extra special. He even offered to take a picture of my date and I, which was incredibly sweet and so thoughtful. He provided us such an elevated experience. Great service is hard to come by, and Eric has truly nailed it. Guido’s, you have a new repeat guest! Delicious food, great service, and such a welcoming atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back! Thank you, Eric!

Every so often, my wife and I treat ourselves and drive an hour in to visit the Hill! It’s always our celebration. I will say that the bar has been set VERY high with previous experiences at other restaurants. The service was very good. The food, however, was very meh. Nothing special. The toasted raviolis were very crispy but very small. The salad was very dry and the dressing had almost no flavor. My wife asked for ranch and it also had little flavor. I think it was buttermilk but low fat? My chicken parm was meh. My wife’s manicotti was very good. However, for the money she got two small pasta tubes partially filled. It tasted great but was very underwhelming. Good, not great so was disappointing.
