Laid-back neighborhood spot with Irish & American comfort eats, a full bar & TVs showing sports.

Our family loved it here, first time this weekend. They have a huge menu, and all three meals came out fantastic. The pork and sauerkraut was the best I’ve ever had, very tender and flavorful. The ribs and shepherd’s pie were fantastic as well. They had indoor and outdoor seating, and very easily accommodated us with a stroller and little one. Drinks were good too, my apple cider mule was perfect. Definitely will go back.

3 of us had dinner and we were pleased. We had fish and chips and Irish meatloaf. Very good entrees. It’s very busy, but still has the feel of your neighborhood bar/restaurant. Very friendly staff.

DECENT… but 2 people in my group got the Sheppards Pie and one was perfect and not watery and mine was watery. No consistency on same dish in same placing. The scallops which my sister had were good but a fried scallops on a wet leaf made the crust8ng little soggy although the scallops itself was good. The staff was friendly but didnt come round often. Years ago when I was here I remembered the food to have been little better… but still not bad , just could’ve been touch better.

When you are wondering around Cape May in need of a food Delaney’s totally hits the spot! The neighborhood pub that has the large dark wood booths, the yummy assortment of food & excellent service. A perfect spot for a great meal!

I was there recently with my girlfriend. From the start, when we received the menu I was surprised at the massive amount of options. I wondered how they managed such a huge menu and all the ingredients. It didn’t take long to get our food, but after a couple minutes my girlfriend noticed there was mold growing on her sandwich roll… We check the other half of the bun and there was even more mold. Absolutely disgusting and appetite killing. My food was fine, but how could I continue eating knowing there are issues in the kitchen? It’s understandable mistakes can be made in a busy restaurant, but this is a health issue and is inexcusable.

Not all bad but save your money –
First off, I really wanted to like this restaurant. The ambience was decent. The French Onion soup was also quite tasty. The pint of Guinness was great. So far, so good.
However, the hamburger only came with a small bag of store bought potato chips – not real fries or even in house potato chips. For a $17 hamburger, that is simply inexcusable. My oldest son’s salmon dish was ok but no sides for 20 something dollars. My youngest son’s mac and cheese was definitely store bought Kraft from a box.
For a $105 meal, we left feeling ripped off and disappointed. Tourist trap – avoid at all costs – unless you just want French Onion Soup and a Guinnness. Management should lower prices drastically especially if they are offering small portions, no real sides, and providing common grocery store items like bagged potato chips and Kraft Mac and Cheese.
Thanks but no thanks. Next time, I’ll just hit up Shop Rite and forgo the huge expense.

We stopped into the Irish Pub and the food and drinks were good, the martini, house wine, and Reuben with potatoes, cabbage, and corned beef were all enjoyable. Our server was fine and got everything to us promptly.
One of the hostesses was very friendly and made us feel welcome right away. The other hostess, however, didn’t seem to care, seemed annoyed and came across like she didn’t really want to be there. It created a bit of an off first impression. Owners, it may be worth paying closer attention to who is greeting guests , that moment really sets the tone.
Overall, we enjoyed the meal, but the greeting at the door could definitely be more consistent.

When walking by the pub, you can’t help but notice the food. The atmosphere is nice and the food is very good. I just notice the staff turn around but the new ones are very helpful and pleasant.

OUT OF SEASON REVIEW: As my friend said, “the best french onion soup is served in an establishment with wood walls.” We stopped by for a late lunch and were greeted swiftly. The menu was extensive, but we all found something to enjoy ranging from the french onion soup, to a wrap, french fries, and the pierogies. The food came out hot and fast, and you could tell the staff both appreciated the winter business and was enjoying some of the downtime.
