THE BEST BOIL WE HAVE EVER HAD. Not normally a boil person. So glad I took Israel’s advice! He was the best server!! Ask for him! Haven’t had service like that in years. 1st visit because we are from Zona area and found ourselves down here tonight, but we will be back soon and bringing others with us! Thank you Isreal!

Went here for lunch and it was amazing. Justin our waiter was the nicest guy ever and definitely made it worth the trip. It was my first time eating Cajun seafood boil and crab. I am in love with both.

The food here is packed with flavor and has that perfect Cajun kick that makes every bite exciting. The seafood is fresh and the portions are generous, especially with the boil options that come with plenty of seasoning. The atmosphere is lively and fun, making it a great place to enjoy with friends or family. The service is friendly and attentive, which adds to the overall experience. It’s definitely a spot to go if you’re in the mood for bold flavors and hearty seafood

Decent Cajun boil restaurant, not the widest array of options but all the classics are here. Prices are average, and the service was pretty friendly.
Didn’t love the house spice mix, on reflection I would maybe have gone for just Old Bay. I also thought it was weird that the dipong sauce that came with the hush puppies was just melted butter. We had enough butter already!
All in all, a fine spot for a boil.

We won’t be returning:
We’ve visited before and always had a great experience, so I brought family who were in town hoping to show them a good time. Unfortunately, this visit was the opposite.
When we arrived, it was 62° inside while it was 36° outside. Several customers—including us—asked multiple times about the temperature, and each time we were told the heat had been turned up. However, the thermostat was right in front of us, and it never moved. The heat was still set to 62°, and the A/C was set to kick on at 75°.
Despite trying to make the best of it, everyone was uncomfortable. Several tables around us left before even ordering. We were eventually told it was “too expensive” to heat the space. At that point, it was clear the comfort of customers wasn’t a priority.
It’s disappointing to say, but we won’t be coming back.

It was my fiancée’s birthday today, and she’s been craving a seafood boil for a while. We’ve tried boil spots across multiple states, and this one easily ranks in the top! The vibe was perfect, the food was flavorful and delicious, and the staff was incredibly friendly and engaging. Highly recommend!

Hook & Reel delivered a pretty solid seafood boil experience. The flavors were bold and satisfying—especially the garlic butter and Cajun seasoning mix. Everything came out hot and fresh, and the portion sizes felt fair for the price. I think it’s note worthy to point out that they have a mini seafood boil option. I could not decide between a seafood boil and catfish but then realized with the mini seafood boil I could have both.
Service was friendly and checked in regularly. The atmosphere is laid-back and perfect for a casual night out with friends or family. It’s a bit messy (as expected with boils), but that’s part of the fun.
Overall, a great spot if you’re craving seafood and worth coming back.

Ordered two of the Lobster Party. It was okay. The sausage was good, the mussels were good, and the calamari was also enjoyable. However, the corn was very mushy, and the eggs didn’t taste fresh. The shrimp were somewhat undercooked, while the lobster was overcooked. The lobster meat was extremely difficult to remove from the shell — it felt like it was glued on, even after breaking the shell in half to make it easier.
Overall, it felt overpriced for what we got. We spent over $400, and unfortunately, it just wasn’t worth it. I could probably buy all the same items elsewhere, spend less, and get better quality and more quantity.
