Don’t even know where to start.
Service was great, from the valet parking to the chef, they provide a blanket, cause I was cold.
So now food, we went with the tasting menu, that’s like 17 courses. It allows to try a little of everything, some sushi, but also some great dishes from the kitchen, like the curry lobster.
Taylor did a great job with his selection, all were amazing, he closed with a Waugh one gorgeous!!!
Drinks are all kinda narrow to the sake section, ordered the litchi and mango martini, loved the Litchi one, felt the mango needed more mango, but might just me be. Thanks Lali for the service.
Desserts were interesting, I believe the presentation can be better, but once you combine all the pieces, the flavor it’s great.
Make sure to make a reservation, makes life better.

Uchi consistently delivers an excellent dinner experience. We had the somakase where the wait staff asked us what the food options and price point we would like, and they crafted an entire dining excursion around it. As always, they exceeded expectations. It was not inexpensive, but worth it in every way.

The best sushi spot in Dallas hands down. (Excluding omakase restaurants). The food is amazing – yellow tail hamachili is a must, all the sushi was great – scallops and wagyu are special, and finally the fried milk desert. (I know sounds weird – but trust me on that one!) service is great and ambience is very nice.

Had such a wonderful quiet birthday celebration here.
Sake was so yummy. Everything that followed was heavenly. Loving the really chill servers and ambiance—has a warm relaxing vibe.

If you’re coming to relax and eat, this is the place to be.

The food was absolutely incredible. My party did the omakase, which was phenomenal. Every course was uniquely delicious, and the flavors flowed well from one plate to the next.

It goes without saying that this was quite a pricey meal. But as far as omakase goes, it wasn’t outrageous ($310 for two before tax/tip/drinks etc). And, strangely, you need a minimum of two people in your party to order it. So, you’re out of luck if the rest of your group doesn’t want to get the omakase or if you’re alone. It should go without saying, but restaurant shouldn’t exclude those who want/need to dine alone from their specialty. I can’t stand when restaurants offer meals that can’t accommodate singular guests; it’s just lazy planning on their part.

Two downsides that I’d like to note were the atmosphere and service. For a restaurant that comes with such a hefty price tag, the decor was pretty underwhelming and it lacked the typical fine dining ambiance. For some that may be a plus, but when you’re charging a minimum ~$160 per person, it would be nice to see a bit more effort put into giving guests an elevated experience. The dining room was also extremely loud. What frustrated me about the service was that our courses were delivered pretty haphazardly. Rather than having one dedicated server, they instead had 5 or so different servers deliver our courses at random. Also, half of the time, the course was not explained so we legitimately had no idea what we were eating sometimes.

All of that said, I would still highly recommend giving it a try – the food is just THAT good.

No hard liquor at the bar kind of caught us off guard. Fish was super fresh but honestly didn’t live up to what we expected. The wagyu nigiri was good. Would go to different places next time for sushi, did not live up to the hype for us.

We’ve had several Michelin star sushi meals over the years, and feel confident saying Uchi deserves one. Up there with the best. Pure brilliance from start to finish with plenty of surprises along the way. Bravo.

I usually don’t write reviews for restaurants, and I never expected to find such a great sushi place in Dallas! This place has very high quality sushi. It was one of the best sushi I’ve ever tasted including all the sushi place I’ve ever been to in NYC, Japan, and Korea included. My server, Dani, was super knowledgeable and was genuinely a nice person. The dessert was also very interesting as well. I would definitely visit again if I’m in Dallas!

Food is absolutely delicious. The plates are small portions but worth every bite. Staff were so nice and atmosphere was perfect. Would recommend to come here for any special occasion. Sashimi salmon belly, short ribs, shag, and the fried milk were some of my favorites.
