I have been wanting Korean Fried Chicken for a while and didn’t know where to go. I hit Google Maps and drove to bb.q Chicken from Lawrenceville. The plaza has multiple restaurants, I’ll get back to visit them soon. Bb.q Chicken wasn’t busy on the Saturday afternoon so I got a seat quickly. They only had one gentleman working the front desk and the telephone. He was on a call when I entered so I had to wait a couple of minutes to be seated. He apologized as if I didn’t see that he was busy. I appreciated that he did even though it was absolutely unnecessary. He seated me, gave me a menu, took my drink order and was off to answer the phone again. The restaurant is very clean and had a interesting layout. I had looked at the menu online and had an idea of what I wanted. When he returned I asked for the so ddeok (sausage and rice cakes) and at his suggestion the Spicy Galbi wings. I wanted spicy and tasty. The wings were delicious . Their spice level was on par with a packet of “Hot” sauce at Taco Bell. I will order something hotter next time. Maybe the Spicy Original or Wings of Fire. I will also order a rice dish the next time. The So ddeok was interesting. The rice cakes were chewy and the sausage was OK. It reminded me of bar food I had in Japan. I enjoyed the dish though it’s not something I’d order again. I’d try their other options next time Yes, there will be a next time. I think it’s a good spot. They have free Wi-Fi for customers too! Stop in if you’re in the area and check it out yourself.

Tried the whole chicken (original flavor) at BBQ Chicken and it was really good! The chicken was perfectly cooked — crispy on the outside, juicy and tender inside. The original flavor was simple yet flavorful, not overpowering, which made it enjoyable till the last bite.
Portion size was generous and perfect for sharing. Overall, a satisfying meal and definitely worth trying if you’re craving good quality fried chicken. Would come back again!

We came in on Monday evening and was seated immediately. Had to wait a bit for the order to come out. We ordered kimchi fried rice (~$13), small garlic sauce (~$14) and small secret sauce (~$14) boneless. Portion size is decent. Both are tasty, chicken is not dry at all but I do prefer garlic one better. The garlic taste is a bit strong but i love garlic so it’s a plus. Kimchi fried rice was not too spicy, very suitable for my taste. Overall recommend and def will come back.

I’m confused why this has 4.7 stars. I guess we just came on a bad night or something because nothing was right. I love bbq chicken. Loved it ever since they opened up their first location in Philly years back and have been enjoying them everywhere I find one… but this one. Had the gangnam style wings and my bf got the boneless honey garlic…. my wings were extremely soggy, I feel like they gave me extra because of the fact they couldn’t perfect the iconic crunch of Korean fried chicken while still being saucy. I’ve had saucier wings from bbq chicken before and the crunch was still there without it compromising. Same with my bf but instead of just soggy boneless wings they were chewy and hard to bite into. We both took our first bites in confusion wondering what we just started eating. I got a side of white rice and it was dry and mushy at the same. Just extremely glutinous and overcooked as if it was the scraps of the cooker it was in. As for the atmosphere? The place felt thrown together which is never a problem if the food is good too but it was just not really inviting. The menus used, again ok but half the things advertised in store were crossed off on the menu….. and unfortunately the kitchen music played over the hotel lobby type music playing overhead. I didnt understand the tone of music playing but I was grateful of the Selena music playing in the back at least it was good music blasting from the kitchen. The front guy who was also our server was probably the only good thing there. He was attentive and was even nice enough to give me gloves to help clean up my food that bursted out of the thin paper wrapper it was on, it was an aggressive amount of sauce/liquid at the bottom. So overall this place didnt turn me off of bbq chicken because I know there’s amazing ones out there but this was truly the bottom of the bottom for this franchise and I hope it’s not like this all the time and ppl truly get to try authentic korean fried chicken from them…. just not from there unless you’re desperate for the taste and not actual Korean fried chicken.

I really like the food here. The spice level on the Wings of Fire is immaculate. I like the sweet and spicy taste of it. I’ve come here a few times and the service has always been great. They say that it takes 15 min to get your order but usually it only takes 5 so that’s a nice surprise.
