Our first visit to Up the Creek Raw Bar in Dec of 2025. I do not eat seafood, so we basically were there for my husband. Love that they have an elevator to arrive to the upstairs restaurant. Only a handful of people were there while we were. You order at the counter, which was pretty self explanatory, and loved that they have example meals in a case to see what your getting. I have never eaten sweet potatoes fries. To me sounded gross, but seeing them in the case, they looked good and I ordered them. First time ever trying them after seeing them for years and they were…. DELICIOUS! I also had the chicken tender Sammy.. Now I was shocked, because I did not read it really, but it came grilled.. You know what it was delicious as well. A sauce on it, bacon, lettuce, pickle, fresh bun. Glad it wasn’t fried after all! Paired with those fries, it was great! Now on to the husbands fish order. He had a shrimp pop boy and said it was really good. He also had a half dozen of oysters steamed with garlic butter and parmesan. He said they tasted a little fishy, and small compared to what he had been eating at other places all week. The ambiance was nice outside on the patio overlooking the water. Black birds were a little annoying landing on the railing wanting food. Self serve drinks also at the drink machine. Cute little place for a quick stop. The employees were nice and came to the table a few times asking if we needed anything.

Going in as a vegetarian, I knew what I was up against. I decided to follow the advise of a fellow vegetarian who visited this place about a year ago: enhance the grilled cheese with onion (great idea), ask for a side of coleslaw and put some inside the sandwich, ask for bbq sauce to dip.
Since then, they have added a salad bar that made our meal, with leafy greens, pickled okra and peppers, tomatoes, peas, chickpeas, pumpkin seeds, olives, broccoli, egg, cheese.
Our server was very kind, didn’t bat an eye at the enhanced grilled cheese and brought water for the dog. The patio has a beautiful view of the river and shielded us from the chilly evening breeze.
Considering the lack of vegetarian dishes I wouldn’t go back, but recommend the place for a one time experience.

This is a go to the counter and order, then they bring your food. The food was amazing, the armosphere was sitting on the Appalachiacola bay looking at the fishing boats, absolutly beautiful. Even better is the restaurant is on the second floor looking down at the water. This is a definite come back.

We took the long way from ORL to PCB. I really had never been to the area. It is so beautiful and really wanted outdoor dining. I was in the mood for seafood too. We started at one place and found Up the Creek on the google map. We made the pretty walk through downtown, along the water and WOW what a GREAT place to eat. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted and given menus. Everyone is so nice there and helpful. You order upfront and they deliver the food. However, I realized for next time, we could have sat down with our menu to decide on food and drink, LOL.
I got the Shrimp and Conch Fritters. The fried shrimp were huge and loved the sauce. My husband got the crab cakes, the amount of crab in them was incredible. We had a couple of cold beers and sat outside along the railing, with the BEST view of the water, boats and bridge in the distance. The staff walking around, will also get you more beer if you need it. You don’t have to walk back up to the register to order, which I liked. Overall, what a fabulous place to eat!!! We will be back, I am making my husband take me to the Gibson Inn, LOL.

Cold day on our way west, stopped for lunch, settled for 6 baked oysters and cold beer, wife had Key Lime pie. The menu options although typical coastal style didn’t excite me

Perfect weather when we visited 1/3/26. Had a dozen oysters and they were excellent, as was the service. The view was amazing and would definitely recommend.

The grouper was very good and was not fishy which I find with a lot of seafood restaurants, there is an outside area and when it’s cold they have propane heaters out there so it’s warm and it’s on a little creek that connects to the apalachicola bay and I saw some big boats come through there

Our second visit this trip. Oysters on the half shell were delish, but the fried grouper basket was stinkin’ amazing. Looked like at least a half pound of fish, about 4″ x 8″, thick & sweet, perfectly fried. Solid sides of fries & slaw and, as another review said, hush puppies were 11/10. Fried shrimp is also solid, skip the burger (you’re in the land of fresh seafood, why eat beef?). Thank you, Up the Creek!

Crazy delicious scallops! We got the grilled basket with hush puppies and they were perfect! The restaurant was just a bit busy, but we like that because it means it’s fresh and popular. We got the raw oysters with creamy horseradish as well; I’m not normally an oyster eater but I surprised myself by eating a few because they were so fresh and delicious. Highly recommend
