Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

Rudest guy ever took my order. Met me before the menu and acted annoyed that I wanted to pull up a little so I could see it. Then I asked if the had the buffalo whatachicken sandwich still on the menu and he goes “yup”. Very short and rude the entire conversation. Then i get a dry chickenstrip sandwich and a buffalo and a ranch dipping sauce in my bag? So they want me to like make it myself or is it not on the menu? Im confused. Customer service is dead.

Didn’t give us all of our food. Ordered chicken strips and No gravy. Too busy throwing ice at each and playing around. That’s the second time we’ve gotten burnt food and an unfulfilled order. That’s Ridiculous. (3/6/26)

Visited New Braunfels for the very first time this weekend and oh my gosh this has to be the WORST Whataburger I’ve ever been too! The fries they gave me were completely unsalted. And no! Not just lightly salted, I really mean NO SALT! The employees there are also on something I swear! They don’t speak clear and concise at all they mumble everything they say! I’ll never come back to this location again!

Not sure what’s going on at this location. This is the 2nd time within a month that I have gotten sick immediately after eating a burger, both through the drive thru. Today’s burger was so bad I had to take the mushy tomatoes and wilted lettuce off. Did not have time to take it back. Won’t be visiting this location again. Certainly hope the quality improves!

This whataburger is great. There was is employee that was on break but I wanted to shout his kindness. I was sitting goofing around with my husband and I see he gives this family origami art. I thought it was so sweet. He ended up giving us one too. I appreciated that kind gift. Y’all are lucky to have such a kind person working for y’all. Thanks man.

I don’t understand why staff has to be rude when you ask for your order to be fixed. I stopped by the drive thru at about 9:50am today. My order was incorrect so I got down to have it fixed, after fixing it, the manager hands me the food without any type of acknowledgment or apology. I said “thank you” and got ignored, said it again, still nothing. I decided to say it one more time and finally got an acknowledgement from him. Didn’t get his name, but he was a short, heavy set, Hispanic male.

Would rate zero stars if I could… do not go if you want to feel uncomfortable and unwelcomed at a whataburger. Staff was alright, they had many customers so I understand their anxiety and frustration… for once I sat down to eat at the restaurant, only to have a white uniformed man bring me my order, not welcoming at all, came up from behind me, asked for both kinds of ketchup and I was given only one of one kind. He gave me his back without saying have a good day or enjoy your meal, didn’t even look me in the eyes the whole interaction. Now it wouldn’t be a problem except that every person that was there was treated as a customer, there was time and effort for them but not me? Kind of odd. But then I went back to order for my family about an hour later, and surprise, had the exact same treatment, cold shoulder and everything, except this time he didn’t even have the decency to ask if I wanted any other condiment, no greeting no nothing once again. Maybe I’m making a big deal out of nothing, but for a restaurant that prides over customer service, they sure had none for me. Edit: got home and found out the second take out order was all wrong, had a fist of onions on both burgers when I asked for none, same thing for the mustard that I also asked to be removed, at least there was an offer to have them replaced.

Photo’s are what we received! I wouldn’t serve this to my dogs. A picture is worth 1,000 words!

Called and complained to manager and he was nice and said there’s no excuse and would replace meal but really, this should have never happened in the first place. If I was the owner and viewed this, everyone in that location would be fired and replaced.
