I pays almost $20 for a Cuban sandwich and cafe con leche. The sandwich seemed small at first but it did NOT disappoint! At the end, I had a very happy tummy. The food was fresh and the coffee was nice and hot on this cold winter day. Seating is limited. Great sandwich. Totally recommend.

Tasty food and good spot for lunch. However, it was a bit pricier than what I would expect.

I got Caldo Gallego Soup and the Chivito pressed sandwich. The sandwich definitely tastes better than it looks.

These two items were around $20. I would come back here again for lunch but only when I am in a splurging mood.

I love this little Cuban lunch spot. It is not very big, but they have a great list of cubanos and other sandwiches. You can also get a platter. The service is friendly, and the sandwiches were quite good!

Nice little Cuban joint. Good vibes and friendly staff. The breakfast sandwhiches were delicious, but they needed way more meat. Only half my bacon egg and cheese had any bacon. Black coffee was nothing special, though can’t speak speak to the “cafecito”.

Cafecito is a cozy café with a Cuban flair: the coffee, sandwiches, and atmosphere create the feeling of a mini-culinary journey to Latin America. The baked “Cubano” and other chicken/beef sandwiches are truly delicious and filling, with a great combination of flavors. It can get crowded at times, and the wait is longer than you’d like, but overall, it’s a pleasant place to return to.

Cafecito is a small and very atmospheric place with excellent Cuban coffee and hearty sandwiches. The Cubano sandwich here is truly delicious, and the portions are generous, despite the cafe’s compact size. There’s sometimes a line, but the food and coffee are worth the wait.

As a local small business in Chicago we love to explore and support other local small businesses and we couldn’t be happier we found Cafecito! From the moment you walk In there was a warm energy, amazing smells, and welcoming music. The cafe con leche was incredible as well at the ropa vieja plate! Growing up as a Cuban American myself it reminded me of my home cooked meals I grew up. We already cannot wait to be back to visit. Thank you for giving our city of Chicago such an amazing local spot for amazing Cuban food. We will see you all again!
Sincerely

Cafecito hit me like a truck! There was quite the demand for Cafecito during lunch hours, and the staff was moving quick to get everyone’s orders in. I got the Cubano sandwich and a single hot Cafecito (Cuban coffee). The sandwich was really good and a nice portion, and I liked it a lot with the guavapica salsa they had. The coffee came in half of a small cup but packed an absolute haymaker of a punch. I took about 3 sips of it and had to throw it away because it was just too much for me. I don’t even know if it was bad or if I’m just not built for it, but I’m going to stay away from Cuban coffee for awhile. I’ll probably be back to try another sandwich, though. The atmosphere is nice with decorations behind the order counter and different accomplishments on the wall. Overall, Cafecito gets 4 stars!

I was super excited to have Hispanic food in the city, but lowkey disappointed. It’s advertised as Cuban, but it feels more like general Latin American. First time, I got the steak sandwich + cafe con leche —solid. Second time, I tried the vaca frita, but it was basically just chopped grilled steak and the rice was bland. Also… what kind of Cuban spot doesn’t serve croquetas or pastelitos? Service wasn’t great either—asked what drinks they had and the girl just pointed at the fridge. Definitely gonna check out other small business Latin spots instead.

So, my Familia is originally from Cuba, and its rarely any place to enjoy cuisines of my culture. My co-work just mention this place today and I’m rating it before the tasting. I have faith in this place; it will be satisfying. Be Back to show pics and review again 🙂
