Mattito’s on Forest Lane is across from the Medical City Hospital in North Dallas. Stop by for an authentic Tex-Mex lunch or dinner and make sure you stay for our generous happy hour with free appetizers and discounted drinks. On weekends, we stay open for late night desserts and comfort food till 10:30 pm. Two banquet rooms are available for wedding receptions, football games, rehearsal dinners, corporate meetings and more. There’s room for an intimate group of thirty people, while our larger private dining room can be rented for groups of 100. Mattito’s can also cook and cater at your location. My first dining experience was at the Oaklawn location in 1993.
It was there that I learned about the secret off menu dip.
Regulars ask for “ Bob Armstrong Dip” named after a Texas politician .
It’s a great start to delicious meal.
Took a client to lunch today at Forest Lane location.
He had lunch # 9
Beef taco Al carbon, 2 cheese enchiladas with chile con carne, guacamole. Spanish rice, and refried beans.
I ordered the #1 cheese enchilada Grande with chile con carne ,onions ,rice ,and refried beans
The salsa and chips were very good.
Atmosphere , service ,and food were outstanding!
Menu has many choices too.
30 plus years says a lot about this Tex – Mex heavy weight restaurant.
I highly recommend this restaurant.

We stopped into Matito’s for a late lunch/early dinner and had a great experience from start to finish. The service was excellent—friendly, attentive, and right on time with everything.
I ordered the Taco Trio, which came with one fish, one pork, and one brisket taco. Each one had its own flavor and texture, and all three were fresh and well-seasoned. My guest had the Chile Relleno with added fajita chicken and beef, and it was a hit—loaded with flavor and topped perfectly with queso.
We also tried two of their house margaritas, and they did not disappoint—cold, strong, and just the right balance of sweet and tart.
Overall, Matito’s delivered a solid Tex-Mex experience with great service, delicious food, and a welcoming atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back!

Complementary chips and salsa were delicious. I really enjoyed tres taco plate. Next time I want to try Texas enchilada borscht beans. Our server was very friendly and he went above and beyond.

We had a group of 20 last Thursday a little before 3:00. Mattitos really took good care of us. Roberto was awesome. He was right on top of everything. We got our food quickly and it was delicious. Sometimes it’s difficult to take care of a group that size, but they did it exceptionally well. Hats off to Roberto and the staff. Loved it. Thanks, Cindy

We’ve been to Mattito’s many times and we enjoy their food. I had breakfast tacos for dinner but wife had enchilada’s. My in-laws had taquitos and enchilada’s too. We all had a drink, the majito was refreshing.

Our food was delicious. There were 7 of us. The orders were breakfast burritos w/ a side of beans, 2 chicken fajita taco salads, 1 steak fajita taco salad , 1 seasoned beef taco salad, 1 cheese quesadila w/ rice and French fries and 1 fish tacos. Everyone was very pleased with their food. It was hot and fresh. The service was phenomenal. Thanks for a great experience.

This place has the absolute BEST avocado enchiladas! All their other dishes are delicious too, especially the chili relleno. But I come here for those enchiladas. Swirls are good. Our server Roberto on a Monday night was great and very attentive. It seemed quiet and low key but have seen this place super busy. Always a great meal and dining experience of Tex Mex.
