The complementary bread and butter was some of the best I’ve ever had. The restaurant has a cozy, old-fashioned country feel. The only hiccup I experienced was that my salad had a few strands of hair mixed in with the grilled vegetables. Luckily, the waitress handled it quickly and brought me a new salad. Despite that issue, I really enjoyed the fresh taste of the salad and the large shrimp.

Don’t bother worrying about the price because when you see and eat all the food on your plate,
you’ll realize why I said don’t eat breakfast or lunch! If parking is a little full, the wait is SO WORTH IT! Be sure to thank the staff. They REALLY deserve it.
Don’t forget dessert. Hubby is hiding ours, so all I know is that they are chocolate, and he had this look on his face that says they are devilishly sinful!

I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed this restaurant! The server was attentive, the food came to our table in good time, everything was very tasty and the menu was extensive.
The fresh bread is wonderful and a very nice touch to the experience. I loved that they offered freshly made dessert as well.

A long time desire to visit this place. Heard so many good things about the food. It’s right on RT 190. The atmosphere is fun and a very welcoming building. The menu has good choice of selections, from burgers to seafood. The food was very good. I wanted to give a 5 star, but overall the service was a bit disappointing. Maybe it was just a bad day for the young lady. We’ll be back and hope to revise the service score. Definitely worth a visit!

This is a great place for friends to meet & eat or there are cozy corners for couples too. The menu has lots of choices. We arrived for a late lunch with 4 in our party. We ordered eggplant parmesan on spaghetti squash, 2 seafood platters, catfish Sarah. Served hot and fresh! The we shared dessert- bread pudding & their chocolate mouse cheese cake- YUM!

It’s been awhile since I’ve left a review solely off the excellence of the food. The boudin balls with pepper jelly dressing is as good as it gets. The rolls are fresh and unique in flavor. The hamburger steak with mashed potatoes was amazing.
This place is worth the drive, worth the price, and worth the wait. I’ll be back again to try more on the menu!!

We went with our church group for Valentine’s Day dinner. It took more than an hour and a half to receive our food. When we got there there were menus on the table but not enough for everyone so we had to take turns. Then after we had reviewed the menus a special menu paper was presented with the Valentine’s specials. Well, that took longer for us to order because we had a new menu to choose from.
We had two long tables worth of customers. I waited for the waitress so I could order a drink but ended up going to the bar where I got served immediately.
When the food finally started coming out it all looked fantastic. I don’t know how but it seemed like everyone got their food at the same time. (Except for one person) Everyone’s food was fantastic! Temperature was perfect, cooked to perfection and perfect presentation

Not your Mama’s Cafe offers down to earth home cooking meals. It’s delicious!! Fried green tomatoes was superb!! Food was great, service was excellent & atmosphere was comfortable!!! I would suggest trying this establishment, a person wouldn’t regret it, It’ll be worth your time!!! The crab platter was fantastic! The stuffed mushrooms are also a great choice but the fried mushrooms are equivalent to the stuff. The waitresses are super nice!! You have to experience it because explaining it just doesn’t give it justification!!!
