To start, we waited over an hour for our food—even though the restaurant wasn’t busy. During that time, our waitress walked past our table multiple times without acknowledging us or checking to see if we needed anything. We had to repeatedly flag her down just to order drinks, place our food order, and eventually request the check. When our drinks finally arrived, they were overly syrupy and undrinkable, so we sent them back to be remade. It took so long to get replacements that our food actually came out first—and it was dripping onto the floor as it was being carried to our table. One of my friends even had food spill on their pants in the process.
When we finally got our meals, everything was watery and unappetizing—the queso, the refried beans, everything. It was a complete disappointment. To make matters worse, when our drinks eventually came back, they were the wrong ones again.
When we asked for the bill, we noticed a gratuity charge automatically added. Upon questioning it, our waitress responded rudely, saying, “Not everybody, but some people,” and added that we had made them remake our drinks—completely unprofessional and unacceptable. When we asked to speak with the manager, she reluctantly offered to remove the charge “if we didn’t want to pay it,” which was not the point.
Overall, this experience was a 0/10. The service was poor, the food was subpar, and the staff was rude. I would absolutely not recommend this restaurant to anyone, and my friends and I will not be returning.
so I asked the waitress which item she recommended. She said “everything is good” not really the answer you want to hear.
Normally waiters/waitresses will recommend 2-3 dishes which are their staples. Not this place
So I ended up getting the Carne Asada. Aand to drink I had the horchata Sounded good on the menu. Can’t really go wrong…but I guess there is a way.
Good- food came quick and hot. The busboy that brings the chips and salsa was much friendlier than the waitress.
Bad- Meat was chewy. No flavor. Horchata was extremely watered down.
Worse- Best part of the dish was the rice, beans and nopal/cactus. I left over half the meat on the plate.
This restaurant saved the passenger seat of our car. Literally. And we decided to eat here after that. I will never forget this restaurant.
The food was good too.
