Stopped in for a quick bite after an afternoon of shopping and was greeted and taken care of by Caprece. She was very friendly and welcoming! I ordered a beer and poke with rice and it was delicious. I was pleasantly surprised by the music too! They were playing reggae, which I loved and don’t usually hear when I’m out to eat. Overall, it was a great spot for a casual stop.

It was good service and a nice atmosphere. They were able to take us straight away for a table of 3. We got the blackened shrimp tacos and the blackened fish tacos. The food was quite blackened to the point that it lost some of the flavor and spices to the char. Drinks were tasty and themed.

I highly recommend the Johnny cakes which were similar to corn bread and very delicious. We decided on the jerk chicken with plantains and the Loco Moco, which is a burger with egg on top that I would definitely order again.
Nice clean open air restaurant and the Staff checked on us regularly. Big speciality drink being menu available with tiki umbrellas.

Food was good and could be better we had the tofu bowl and hula fish tacos. Flavor was on point and the free condiments on the side had great flavor punch. the atmosphere could have been better for the location.
Not many vegetarian options mostly tofu. But seafood here was great.

Glad we decided to try hula‘s out! We were curious and decided to sample several of the appetizer options. Everything had great flavor, Nothing was bland, and we were able to control the spice level on whatever we ordered. We tried the lettuce wraps, fried plantains, potstickers, fish bites, and Johnny cakes. We weren’t in love with the Johnny cakes or fried plantains, there was nothing wrong with them, they just weren’t our favorites. The fish bites were super crispy, but had much more breading than fish. The lettuce wraps were delicious with a great balance between meat and vegetable and enough lettuce leaves to accommodate all the filling. The potstickers were large, nicely browned, and had plenty of filling. We all fell in love with their Thai peanut and their soy based dipping sauces. Our server was very responsive and super friendly! We’re looking forward to going back and trying more of their menu.

Great menu with a wide variety of drinks and food options. There were plenty of choices the invite me back for another visit. Our server was friendly and attentive. Old Town Scottsdale offers nearby lots for free parking.

My wife and I had the the ceviche, the potstickers and the shrimp rolls as appetizers and every one of them was amazing. For our taste preference we had to top the ceviche with some Sriracha and that brought it to perfection. She had the blackened fish and I had the lemongrass fish. We both enjoyed the blackened fish but I was not astounded by the lemongrass because I don’t usually do breaded fish. My fault for not asking. Keep in mind everyone has a different tastes and the lemongrass may be a 10 for you. Besides the appetizers, the staff was absolute perfection in motion. We saw them seat no less than 30 people in the hour we were there and I just don’t know how they were able to do so because the restaurant was almost full when we showed up. Every one of the staff members seem to be capable of doing every job as efficiently as I’ve ever seen. We will absolutely go here again.

Good drinks, terrible service.
We ordered our drinks and got them fairly quickly. They were fine, if not watered down a little. Not good, not bad. On par for most of the town.
However, the real low point was the service. We finished our drinks fairly quickly and were never checked on again. 40 mins later, no question of whether or not we wanted another, and we had to flag down another waitress to get our waitress…who told us we needed to talk to our server. Finally a hostess entered our orbit and she was kind enough to help.
On the way out, a group asked us what we thought, and we told them to stay away. As we will be doing in the future.

Absolutely amazing! We came here for happy hour and it served as a great dinner. I had the ceviche and spicy edamame. Both are MUST haves. The ceviche has amazing flavor and is very neutral, not at all fishy. The edamame is absolutely amazing, char grilled, has a kick but not too bad. My friends had the Thai chicken bowl, pork pot stickers, and lettuce cups. Lettuce cups are also high on the list, the bowl was good and pot stickers were great. Drinks were well priced, strong, and have good flavors. A good variety of options. I’ve had better service but they were fairly busy and low on staff. Everyone was incredibly kind and helpful in selecting items. I would 100% return and highly recommend!

We tried coconut shrimp rolls for appetizer and it was amazing! My daughter had shrimp tacos and my friend had the lettuce tacos wraps. I had and highly recommend the Jawaiian chicken bowel with rice and fried plantains. We all loved our delish and nutritious meals but the service wasn’t the best. I’ll give them 4/5 for service in hopes that it was just because they were super busy tonight.
