After a long day of hiking and exploring Knoxville, we stopped in for dinner. We were seated immediately. The service and food were excellent. It was a busy night with a Tennessee football game, but the place is large enough that the noise level never became an issue. Both my wife and I enjoyed our meals and we will definitely be back next time we are in town.

Good food and decent prices. Wait and go when they’re busy or you’ll almost have to beg for service. Today was very cold and rainy so very few customers. Had to get up and get things ourselves because our waitress, Lauren (who was very sweet and cute) was never around. Service from everyone else was very good. Time to retrain.

Wait was not to crazy, pretty big place, with an upstairs and downstairs. Our service was nice and friendly. I wasn’t the biggest fan of the dips, of the 3 the queso dip was good. The mozzarella sticks were good, and Alfred was too, the bread was very soft. The surf and Turf plate was also good, the onions rings had a nice crunch. The beef was tender, and the shrimp was grilled nicely.

If one is younger than “old” it’s closer to a 4.51. Good food. Not great. Good service. Not great. Atmosphere, even early, is loud. But it’s a college town during the quarter so it should be loud. We’d go back in a shot…but may go earlier.

I had a great experience at Downtown Grill & Brewery. I ordered the 10oz sirloin with blue cheese mashed potatoes and onion rings, and honestly, the steak was one of the best I’ve ever had. My husband ordered the Reuben (he orders one everywhere that has it) and said it was the second best Reuben he’s ever eaten, which is saying a lot. He also got the loaded baked potato, and after trying it, I kind of wished I had ordered that instead of the mashed potatoes.
Our server was excellent and the atmosphere was really nice. The only downside was that we were seated near the entrance, and I got blasted with cold air every time the door opened. Other than that, everything was fantastic and we’d definitely go back.

I had the reuben and it was made pretty well. I just wish she had more corned beef. The chocolate mousse was awesome. Very well made. Very poor lighting and the AC wasn’t working very well. The downtown blonde ale was pretty good.
