One of the best sushi places I have been to in Baltimore so far. Best prices for sure!
Supreme and New Yama rolls are a must try!!
Ps: the tempura cheesecake is definitely a win too!

this was some of the best sushi i’ve had! it was incredible and such a wonderful experience. it was fast, and the service was amazing, my server was so kind. the sushi is perfect and it’s relatively inexpensive for the quality! definitely try it! i got the caterpillar roll and the spicy crunchy crab roll.

Stopped in because I was craving sushi and this place did not disappoint. I’d wager this is the best sushi experience I have ever had. The server was beyond polite and staged our orders effortlessly so that we were never waiting for the next item to arrive. The food was fresh and the combination of flavors was to die for. 10/10, this is my new sushi spot.

This is a great spot! The sushi is so good! I’ve been hesitant to try any other sushi besides from my regular spot. But this place is great. I always seen how busy it is and knew it had to be good and I’m so glad I tried it! It definitely gets busy and crowded in the front area where the takeout is, so you’re kind of always in the way, but it’s super cute inside and the decor is great and the sushi was delicious! I would’ve post pictures but we inhaled it all too quick.

Yama Sushi is a frequent place for our crew to hang out. We never get tired of trying all the sushi varieties, and definitely have favorite dishes. As sushi lovers, we have visited many restaurants and this one is definitely in the top 5 for us. A group of 3-4 fits best here, but they do accommodate larger groups by putting tables together. This is definitely a smaller space but it has never felt too crowded. The staff is attentive and professional. The bathrooms are A-tier in cleanliness and design; the sink is especially cool.

Somehow we have never been to Yama. We are so glad to have finally gone. We went on a Friday evening and had a short 10-15 minute wait for a table. Once we were seated, everything was great. Our server was super nice, quick and great at helping with menu questions.
The offered a nice small cucumber salad as a starter, then we ordered two appetizers. The Peppered Tuna was insanely good! Peppery and spicy, a perfect bite. Even the asparagus underneath was great. We also ordered the Shumai, delicious tiny pork dumplings, also quite good.
For dinner, we ordered a few standard rolls and a few specialty rolls. The spicy tuna and spicy salmon were both very good. We ordered the Ocean roll, Supreme Roll, Green Dragon and the Bumblebee. Wow, they were all so good, perhaps the least impressive was the Green Dragon, not bad, just kinda bland. The other three were so good and impressed all 3 of us. We felt “not too full” after dinner so decided to sample a couple of the desserts. We got the fried cheesecake, it was ok, the cheesecake was good, the crust was not as good. We also got strawberry mochi and they were so tasty and the chewy coating was fun. Recommend.
We look forward to coming back to Yama soon!

My complaint to the owners of this restaurant is this: In 2024 to not have refills on soda is ridiculous. Everyone knows that soda is super cheap. Your $1.50 is a good price, but charge $2 and allow for refills.

One of my favorite places for years, both for takeout and dine-in! Very reliable. The service is very quick and efficient. Sushi is delicious. (Bumblebee roll is my favorite.) It’s a great place for friend dates. Sometimes the wait can be a while to be seated, but that’s part of the charm of such a small business.

This sushi spot is a real gem, offering a wide variety that’s sure to satisfy any sushi lover. The sakura-themed ambiance is charming and adds a cozy touch to the experience. For the price, it’s well worth it. The only small gripe is that the drinks could be a tad better, but overall, it’s a fantastic place to indulge in some quality sushi.

The most unreliable, mediocre sushi place in town. They never meet their estimated wait times and even if you show up later than promised, they will still amaze you and not have your food ready. 55 minutes for a noodle bowl and a single sushi roll. Nice work, guys.
