We began a long time ago, in 1878 in fact, with Silviano Venchi, a 20-year-old from Turin who loved chocolate so much he spent all his savings on two bronze cauldrons and began to experiment, first in his apartment, then in a small place on Via degli Artisti in Borgo Vaniglia, Turin. All delicious, healthy, natural, made with the best ingredients and the best intentions: to look on the bright side and to live a long happy life that, if nothing else, is a little bit sweeter.

Absolutely incredible experience at Venchi. From the moment we walked up, the customer service made a lasting impression—especially thanks to Nadir, who was warm-hearted, genuinely welcoming, and incredibly patient. It was my girlfriend’s first time trying Venchi, and we wanted to sample multiple flavors. Nadir took his time with us, answered every question with kindness, and made the whole experience feel relaxed and special.
In a world that can feel a bit cold at times, service like this truly stands out. It elevates the entire experience and makes it far more memorable than it already would have been. And the gelato itself? Outstanding. Rich, concentrated flavors that are clearly made with care. My go-to was the chocolate and pistachio, both deep and perfectly balanced, while my girlfriend loved the mango and raspberry, which were bright, fresh, and refreshing.
Highly, highly recommend stopping here—and definitely take advantage of the seating right across the way to fully enjoy it. Amazing gelato, even better service. We’ll absolutely be back.

I visited the Venchi shop at Short Hills Mall yesterday with my daughter, and it was truly a wonderful experience from start to finish. We walked in not knowing exactly what to get, and the staff made all the difference.
One employee in particular stood out — he was warm, genuinely enthusiastic, and took the time to walk us through the different types of chocolate they carry. He offered us sample so we could taste before deciding, which made the whole process feel personal and fun. His smile made my daughter and I feel like valued guests, not just customers.
And the chocolate itself? Absolutely outstanding.
It’s the kind of shopping experience that’s becoming rare — attentive, knowledgeable service paired with a truly exceptional product. We’ll definitely be back!

Saw this gorgeous little boutique in the mall, and I had to stop in!
The presentation of the chocolates and gelatos are eye catching and organized. I love the displays for Easter and chocolate eggs are my favorite!! Especially the mini Lampone eggs. I grabbed many mix & match chocolates along the wall which are paid by weight. The employee named Angel was very kind and helpful explaining all of the options and recommending gelato flavors which made making a decision much easier for me.
I chose a gourmet baby cone with pistachio and it was scooped to perfection! I will be back for more soon 🙂

I don’t usually like ice cream because it’s too sweet, but I tried this one and I was delighted. I liked it a lot; it’s not as sweet as other ice creams, so I would buy it agai ❤️❤️

We love Venchi at short hills mall. Always such welcoming, friendly and helpful staff. We’ve found so many delicious chocolate varieties and were able to sample some flavors we were considering. If you are considering trying the chocolate hazelnut spread made with olive oil, it’s 100% worth it! Perfect with your morning cortado!

The gelato itself is great—my favorite flavor is cremino. However, I’ve consistently had poor customer service from one of the workers. I also work in the mall, so I truly understand what it takes to provide good customer service. When I asked a couple of simple questions, she responded with attitude and handed me my ice cream sloppily—it was already melting and dripping all over my hands. She didn’t offer a napkin, after acknowledging the state of what she was handing me. I did go to another store to clean up. As I walked away, I even overheard her making comments about my request to her coworker. Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time I’ve experienced this. Whenever she’s the only one working, I often feel uncomfortable entering the store because of her demeanor. The gelato is great, but the service experience makes me hesitant to return.

Tried the dark hot chocolate hazelnut – it was rich, thick, and slightly bitter (but not the bitter I was looking for. It was also still sweet for me. sweetness level was 50% imo. at first I didn’t get the taste of the hazelnut but when i stirred the bottom, I got the hint of it but only just a little. I would recommend getting their hot chocolate if you’re looking for good quality ones in jersey, however, my search for a “not too sweet” hot cocoa in the jersey area continues.
I also got their no added sugar hazelnut milk chocolate and they were SOO GOOD and not too sweet! I had a lot of it without sugar rush
