I and my family have eaten at Lupa on various occasions over the years. They have a pizza/pasta lunch special on Sundays where you can order any pizza or pasta (with some exceptions) together with a beer or wine (red/white). It works out much cheaper! On New Year’s Eve last year, I ate a delicious raviolo dish and on 28 December last year I had a calzone with meatballs inside. My parents love the vegetarian pizza which is packed with ingredients; they prefer it over the meat pizzas.
I personally love the Italian aesthetic of the restaurant as it reminds me of the 5-month period I spent in Sicily in 2025. Most of the menu options are in Italian.

It is with great disappointment that I write this review. Lupa has always been our favorite restaurant, with staff even familiar with our preferences. However, our experience on January 9th was deeply unsatisfactory.
The Gnocchi del Sol has long been my favorite dish, so when my daughter—home from London—my sister, and I decided to treat ourselves, I was excited. Unfortunately, the dish was extremely disappointing. Instead of prawns, there were only shrimp on the plate. When I brought this to the waiter’s attention, he insisted they were chopped prawns. The manager supported this claim, which I found both insulting and undermining to my knowledge.
Leon’s wife, the owner, was called over and offered a different explanation, stating that they had recently received batches of prawns that were smaller in size. She assured me that the dish did not contain shrimp and said she would speak to the chef. However, no apology was offered at any point.
I mentioned that the table behind us received the correct prawns, which made it even more unacceptable that I was given shrimp instead. In response, the chef fried some prawns and brought them on a side plate. Although the prawns were large and plump, they were over-salted and inedible.
I watched as everyone else enjoyed their meals while I left mine untouched and returned the dish. Despite this, I still received no apology.
Overall, it was a very disappointing evening. I am left questioning why I was singled out to receive shrimp when prawns were clearly available. Did the chef not recognize the subpar quality? Was the dish not checked before being served to ensure it met the restaurant’s standards?
Lupa must address these serious issues immediately. The lack of quality control, the dismissive attitude from management, and failure to apologize are unacceptable.

Friendliest staff members, great atmosphere within the restaurant. Two seating area options – The deck or inside. Both are great.
There are multiple delicious options to select from on the menu, and they have great specials on the board.
If you order the specialty pastas, they bring a huge cut-out paramasan cheese and make the pasta at your table! A great addition to the evening!

The best Lupa I’ve been to. Food and service is 10/10. Atmosphere is quiet and great for a date setting. The place is so aesthetically pleasing and hygienic. Service is quick and waiters are friendly. 10/10 would go back especially for the mojitos and crepes.

Consistently amazing flavours on all dishes, food specials are well thought out and flavoured very well.
2021 update: unfortunately dropping a star because not for the first time a takeaway pizza box had the wrong pizza in it. The boxes do have labels to tick for the pizza contained inside, use them. The first time it happened I had to return to the restaurant. On this most recent occasion a staff member realized the mistake and met me in the parking before I left with the correct pizza.
2022 update: service levels continue to drop. Wait staff attentiveness is dropping sharply. Dishes are at times brought out cold. Vegetarian dish came served with chicken. Order food for takeaway, get a call that it is ready, I arrived to discover the order was not even started. I was met with complete apathy. Service is only moving in one direction.

We’ve never left Lupa disappointed.
Most recently, I had the wood oven-roasted Lamb Shanks. Our waiter told us that they’re roasted for between 3 to 4 hours. The meat was absolutely tender and the Parmesan fries were an eye-opener in how tasty they were.

Visited Lupa once again for a date night.
We had an absolutely amazing night, Shane was our waiter, he was an absolute gem, by far one of the best waitors we’ve ever been helped with anywhere, his service was outstanding.
The food was amazing as usual, pasta was absolutely perfect, pizza was delicious and the cherry on top was the Gelato which was just absolutely perfect.
The atmosphere was amazing, on a cold night it was warm and cozy inside, beautiful seating.
Will definitely be back.
