Update: second visit not nearly as good. The hash browns were not brown – clearly not sufficiently cooked – and the bacon was cold and overly greasy as if cooked hours earlier and popped in the microwave, Rating lowered to 3 stars
Poop in my shrimp on the seafood scramble.
Manager/owner tried using waiting staff and patrons to say we were rude. Granted my mom was upset. Understandable. Service industry is rough so I tried to go resolve it after.
I explained to them (staff, owner/manager, patrons nearby when being singled out) I had poop in the seafood. I didn’t feel comfortable talking to staff because it was like, the owner and manager on staff seemed really on edge.
After saying that, they were quick to rush me out the door to talk.
Problem wasn’t really the food. The staff seems to take 0 responsibility and blames customers for being sat by their Hispanic busboy staff.
Aside from this, the food in general, was poor. Pancakes rubbery. Overcooked eggs. Pancakes drenched in butter. Seafood poop. Biscuits was clearly from a package; I’ve made instant biscuits better. When brought to their attention, got very hostile and defensive.
Food quality wise, was very disappointed
Best to just go to dennys than this place
Recommendation: don’t listen to the very kind Hispanic staff who will help you sit down. The white blonde ladies and waitress will make your experience hellish! Go to them first to avoid confrontation! You MUST go to the front or you’ll be in trouble.
Sad, this was my father in laws favorite place and was talking about eating here for the last 3 months that we were planning this trip. He’s had great experiences
This is my first time and last… so sad
In response to the owner:
You know that your staff outside is great. We didn’t seat ourselves. We came to and immediately were asked “inside or outside” by a very kind and polite Hispanic man who was bussing tables. If you don’t want them doing that, sounds like a personal workflow problem, not your customers! Thanks!
Seafood Benedict was generous in the amount of seafood, nicely cooked shrimp – really happy about this as well!
All in all great experience- would come by again
The biscuits and gravy took me straight back home to Alabama. Fluffy, buttery biscuits smothered in rich, perfectly seasoned gravy — the kind that makes you pause mid-bite and just appreciate life for a second. That alone would’ve earned five stars.
The eggs were cooked exactly right (which sounds simple, but somehow so many places miss the mark). Everything tasted fresh, hot, and made with care.
And the dinner itself? Cozy, welcoming, and comfortable — the kind of place where you actually want to sit and enjoy your coffee instead of rushing out the door. It feels like home.
If you’re in Morro Bay and debating breakfast options, stop debating. This is the spot.
I’m drooling right now and so sad I’m almost 4 hours away, but totally look forward to coming back in a couple months for another amazing dining experience with employees like Sienna and cooks in the back turning out that kind of delicious food.
Mr. Vido and I will gladly be back and continue spending our money there!
Thank you Sienna and fantastic cooks
Love the outside patio and Android corned beef and hash with biscuits and gravy. Waitress was a little bit grumpy
