Had a fantastic dining experience. The food was absolutely delicious — we started with the fried calamari, which was crispy and flavorful, and shared the charred 1/2 duck for our main course, which was perfectly cooked and more than enough for the two of us. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. We especially loved the option to sit outside right along the shore of Lake Como — a beautiful setting that added to the charm of the location. Highly recommend for a great meal with a view!

Not what I would describe as fancy but this has a lot of appeal. Outdoor balcony seating overlooking the lake or near beach eating on the lower level (more limited menu.) Service was great and provided information for other places to visit. The menu had a good assortment and portions were good sized. Ribs were marked as their specialty and they were good with a slight spice and sweetness. Would go back.

Amazing food and vibes! This place is a madhouse. It’s not your traditional supper club, but it’s certainly a historic spot to stop in for good drinks and good.

We had a great time as always. Barb was a wonderful waitress. Pork chops were outstanding. My wife loved the shrimp. I recommend the cream of mushroom & brie soup. And tonight’s sunset was absolutely picture-perfect.

We went there two weeks ago tomorrow for the famous Mars fish fry. We knew the place would be busy, but it seemed like vehicles were parked almost a half a mile away. We noted there were many people waiting so we disappointedly left, but I heard so many good things about Mars that we had to go back so Labor Day, we decided to try it for lunch. We were greeted by a very friendly, smiling hostess, and we were elated because we were seated immediately when I saw that they had walleye and potato pancakes on the menu. I was eager to try it because those are two things that I love. My wife Mary started with a bowl of mushroom soup and I tried it. It was terrific. When we got our entrées, I was astounded at the size of the fish. It looked fantastic with a perfect breading and cooked with perfection. By comparison, we went to a restaurant which is supposedly one of the best in Lake Geneva, but the fish was nowhere near the quality served at Mars on top of the great food our server Ashley was just so friendly and always smiling with great service. When she suggested the strawberry whipped cream cake for dessert, although we were full, we shared one after we finished. I thanked Ashley for suggesting the cake and I told her it was so appropriate because it was my birthday. And so she immediately told me oh why didn’t you tell me I am going to camp that for you. I thought it was such a lovely gesture. We are definitely going to make it a point to make the drive some Friday night to do their famous fish fry as a matter of fact when I posted a picture of my lunch, I have other families members that are going to make the drive up as well thank you so much Mars for the great experience..

Three of us stopped in for lunch. We were seated quickly and greeted by our server. I ordered a Reuben sandwich. This is typically a goto for me in judging a place for a future visit. While it was tasty I wouldn’t order it again here. The meat seemed to come from a package. It was thinly sliced and was not well distributed. I hate having to disassemble my food before eating. It is very typical for the kitchen to plop a ball of meat in the center and move on quickly to whatever else they are doing. The minestrone soup was very good, plenty of vegetables.
The others in my party had the beef sandwich and a burger. Both were very happy.

It was good. A nice surprise, quiet short drive from town. Outdoor seating next to the water is nice. Ordered steak it was good, wife ordered the ribs she said they were good, paired well with sweet potato fries.

We came here on a Friday night since we were staying in the area. We had to wait about an hour and a half, and it was pretty packed inside since it’s winter in Wisconsin and you couldn’t really wait outside. But they had some live music, and we eventually got a seat at the bar. Once we were seated at our table, the waitress was very friendly and attentive. I got the filet, which was great, and my husband got the famous ribs. They are really worth it! I don’t even like ribs, but I could have eaten them. We came back the next day so he could get more ribs, if that tells you anything. If I’m going to get picky, the fries were good but not very consistent (some kind of soggy but mostly good), and the old fashioned was nothing to write home about. So try a different beverage. They also did not have any gluten-free bread options for sandwiches, so be aware. We are already planning our next visit back!
