Haven’t been to Steak n Shake in years, thought they were going downhill. Stopped in today just out of curiosity, and was pleasantly surprised. No more expensive than McDonalds and a thousand times better! Two double steak burgers with medium fries and a large drink, less than $20! Will definitely be back!

My family loves the food here, it’s tastes like it’s cooked in-house, as it actually is Customer service,… It should be labeled differently for this establishment. The kiosk ordering, okay, I get it… Everyone is doing it. But the fact that every time I go in there to enjoy the delicious food, if I so happen to need anything… I have to turn into an investigator or a detective. We walked around looking for a clean table to sit at, there weren’t ANY. I went to go ask for a cloth and whatever solution they use, so that I COULD clean the table before we sat down. The employee slowly walked into the dining area, with I DON’T WANT TO BE HERE, plastered on her face. Literally the reason why I stated that I could do it myself if there’s an issue. The ice maker dispenser on the fountain drink machine was visibility filthy. Looked like it hadn’t been cleaned, or even rinsed out, in ♀️ So I could just imagine what the inside looks like Either retraining of current staff is needed, or scrap the entire crew and start fresh with people who ACTUALLY have experience In customer service, that I don’t know,… ENJOY people and their jobs …? Hmmmm, how expensive would that be? in comparison of circulation of profits/money

I hadn’t been to Steak ’n Shake in almost 10 years, and I’m honestly so impressed with the improvements. The inside was spotless and felt newly renovated, with a fun retro diner vibe and neon lights. This is officially my new favorite fast-food restaurant.
I ordered the Bitcoin Burger and got a kids meal for my son (only $5!), and everything was cooked perfectly. The pickles were amazing. I used the digital ordering menu, which was super easy to navigate.
All the employees looked clean and professional, and the kitchen was absolutely spotless—you can clearly see into it from the dining room. Overall, a great experience and I’ll definitely be back!

I HAD to go out during the recent snow storm and it was horrible, imagine my surprise when I saw steak and shake open WITH AN UNPLOWED PARKING LOT???? I had just passed SO MANY places that where plowed and closed (I don’t blame them). They were nice, fast and DELICIOUS. Seriously good. Steak and shake Y’ALL HAVE TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR EMPLOYEES BETTER. I almost did a one star just to attention but the employees don’t deserve that.

door clearly says this place is open until Midnight but yet this is my 2nd (and last) time coming here and the door is locked at least an hour before midnight. They’re called “business hours” for a reason stand by them or change them!

Service is was good. Our server was very professional and nice. Her is Jessica, she was great! On the other hand, bathrooms smell really bad. The kitchen floor where they prepare the hamburgers is dirty with fries every where. Employees walk on top of it.

I’m going to start out by saying that this is the first time we’ve been here since the start of Covid, and also the last time we will ever return. It’s gonna so far downhill. They’ve gotten lazy and money-hungry. They don’t have servers; everything is self-serve now. The food is mediocre at best now, too. The chili is their “famous” canned chili that they just heat up. Don’t bother getting the cheese fries; they give you plain fries with a small plastic cup of gas station nacho cheese. I got the garlic burger, and they dumped that fake oil tasting butter on top, and I mean dumped. I had to use a napkin to remove most of the oil, but it didn’t help much. It had already soaked into the bun, making it soggy. I will say the milkshakes were good. However, they apparently don’t use real bananas anymore for some reason. They don’t have the difference fry seasonings anymore, which is a bit of a bummer. Their menu has really shrunk down, and they no longer have the “secret menu” items anymore, like the 7×7. As for the price, we got a double galic burger with medium cheese fries, a large regular fry, a kids grilled cheese with an apple sauce pack, a kids milkshake and 2 regular milkshakes that came out to about $42. Was not worth the cost at all. They don’t have servers, just cooks and maybe cleaners, so corporate is definitely pocketing a whole lot of money now. Long story short, we won’t be returning, and we strongly suggest you don’t either.
