We visited on a fellow traveler’s recommendation, who also said to get the lunch deal for smaller portion. We ordered the vacio, solomillo cerdo, and an entrana a la brasa, with different starters. While the starters were good, and presentation and service were lovely, the entrees themselves were just disappointing. My husband had to work for ANY meat off his vacio. My friend initially enjoyed the pork but then paused to tell a story, and went back to very dried-out fillets. I rather had the impression that the lunch deal was to get rid of unwanted cuts of meat. However, in viewing other plates which appeared communal, we simply ordered wrong. But should that be a caution???
By the time we were done, and exhausted from our efforts, the dining room was busy and it was hard to get a server’s attention for our receipt. My friend and I left while my husband waited, and he caught up with us 20 minutes later. 🙁
For the mains, the pork knuckle was cooked to perfection, tender and truly fall-off-the-bone. It was without question my favourite meal during our entire visit to Málaga. We also ordered the salmon, which was a piece of art and cooked flawlessly.
Beyond the incredible food, the restaurant itself is beautifully designed, creating a warm and cozy atmosphere. The service was exceptional and truly above par. This is definitely a fine-dining restaurant, and you absolutely get what you pay for. Highly recommended.
The size of the portions are very generous, my wife and kids went for the 7oz sirloins (7oz in Spain must be different to our 7oz in the UK as they were massive) whilst I opted for the 350g Sirloin special.
The steaks are cooked amazingly well & great quality, however, following our previous visit, In my opinion, its worth ordering your steak one a level above what you are used to. We love our steaks medium rare, so ordered them medium and turned out perfect. In all fairness, on the menu, they have a pictorial guide to the level of ‘Doneness’.
The atmosphere and décor of the restaurant is very warm and inviting. The staff are attentive and friendly.
The only thing that I thought cheapened the dining experience was the little plastic bags of condiments. If you want oil/vinegar etc, it should be asked for and served in a more appropriate way.
El Quebracho is a brilliant steak restaurant that our family love and would highly recommend. We will enthusiastically return.
Fabulous service and staff are all very friendly and advise the best of the best off the menu.
Will definitely return Again on our next visit to benalmadena as totally *****
Visited two nights in a row!
Steaks are just so well cooked and of a really high quality. Caesar salad was excellent too according to who had it.
Lovely complementary parsnip crisps on the table.
Good quality starters. The Argentinian sausages are excellent!
