Phuzzy’s Boat Shack is a great place to grab a comfortable dinner by the water on the Island. The atmosphere is outstanding, with wonderful views of the water, live music that’s at a low enough level you can enjoy conversations friends, giving you that Island vibe. The service was wonderful, very attentive and pleasant staff, with just the right amount of follow up. The food was good and prices were fair. Our shrimp tacos were supposed to be blackened but arrive plain, no big deal but not what we ordered. The grouper sandwich consisted of many tiny pieces instead of a filet, not what we were expecting but ok. If you are on the Island this is a great place to sit back and enjoy some time with friends.

My dog and I just love coming to Phuzzy’s! We have been snowbird regulars here for years.
She always finds a favorite waitress each year….. Which is the one who gives her the most dog cookies. Lol.

Great atmosphere. The outdoor seating along the canal can’t be beat.
Food is fantastic. (My favorite is the coconut shrimp and also the mahi fish tacos.) Genuinely friendly and great staff, and the best part for us is that it is a super dog friendly location.
They also always have really mellow music on, which I appreciate. Classic rock, country, or trop Rock… Which really fits the place. As well as live music a lot of the time.
( I hate when you sit down to a nice little place on the water and they’re blasting pop music.)

Wow. First timer here and it was overall a great experience. The chowder was awesome. Grouper sandwich was on point. Sophia was a great server. You won’t leave hungry if you stop here. Outside seating was beautiful

A cool place that our friends Jamie and Skylar had been to on their Explorcation YouTube channel and we got the chance to stop by tonight!
Now these folks even have their own version of the Southernmost Buoy out front (picture below.
I started off with the Hot Crab Dip with Tortilla Chips as suggested by our great server Brianna and was very surprised at just how good it was!
The Blackened Grouper Sandwich was a little on the “fishy” side of the spectrum as compared to other recent Grouper I’ve had down here but I used a little of the Mango Salsa that Terri wasn’t using on her Grilled Chicken Tacos along with the tartar sauce that was brought out and that made the difference.
I also put alot of the Mango Salsa in with the coleslaw (which was good to begin with) because of the Pineapple Coleslaw I’ve had on occasion down here and I had to mention it to Brianna that they need to add that on their menu as a side because that Mango Salsa Coleslaw I’d just created was deeeeelicious.
Everything was good, the atmosphere was upbeat, the staff was friendly and attentive.
We’d definitely go back if we’re fortunate enough to get back down here again!

The location of Phuzzy’s boat shack is great, located right next to a canal with beautiful views. The service was quick and forthcoming and checked in on us every now and then. The food itself was ok, it didn’t taste nor feel day fresh though. We would have loved to stay longer and enjoy some drinks, but the volume of the live music was so LOUD it hurt our ears and we could not even talk to each other at the same table any more (the attached video shows the artist preparing, there was not yet the live music going on).

Phuzzy’s Boat Shack was an awesome experience from start to finish. The food was incredibly fresh and tasted amazing—you can tell a lot of care goes into every dish. What really made the visit stand out, though, was Ashleigh’s service. She was friendly, attentive, and genuinely checked in to make sure everything was perfect without ever being overbearing. Her positive energy made the whole meal even better. Great food, great vibes, and top-notch service—can’t wait to come back!

Nice restaurant on a canal with boating access. It has outdoor seating and a bar. Inside has seating and a bar also. Friendly staff and a lot of outdoor seating. We had the fish dip and chips, it was really good. We were here on 12/19/25.

Just had a great meal, first visit. Good food, large servings ,reasonable prices. Add shrimp to your salad, you get two skewers. The carrot cake – OMG huge and delicious. Notice the oval platter. Great server Angie.

We found this hidden gem while visiting friends and making a wrong turn! We were on our way back to Fort Lauderdale, but decided to eat! We sat outside on the patio….lovely inviting setting on the water. Brittney our waitress was very friendly and accommodating. We ordered the hot peel and eat Gulf shrimp. OMG….delicious! Sweet and yummy, my friend got the raw oysters and she said they were also great! We each got the stone crab dinner. For sides I got the baked beans and coleslaw. Both homemade and tasty! My friend got the slaw and fresh green beans. They were perfectly steamed with a lovely garlic topping. The claws were fresh! YUM! We did not love the mustard sauce….the mustard was very subtle…so we just added more mustard…lol. We did not have drinks because we had a long drive ahead of us, but cant wait to go back! The Key Lime Martini will be at the top if my list to try! For all that fresh seafood it came to $125. Not bad!!! Make sure you try this place! You won’t be disappointed!
