This place is wonderful. So good. Very generous portions. A wide variety of choices on the menu. If you leave hungry it’s your fault. We will go back every time we are in town.

The tables weren’t clean; the waitress almost sat us at a clearly dirty one, with crumbs everywhere, before changing her mind and putting us at a table with a saucer full of empty half and half containers.
Then I asked if I could substitute the “house fries” with my omelette for ham or bacon, and she just said no. It was so sharp and quick I thought she was joking. She just stared at me, and finally she said she can’t substitute it for a meat, but she could sub for cottage cheese. I agreed.
She brings the food out later, and on my plate with my omelette were the house fries and no cottage cheese. Okay, sad, but I’m not one to cause problems. But these house fries weren’t fries or hash browns. They were like… Fried mashed potatoes? They weren’t good, either.
Then when my mother and I are finishing up, the waitress comes back and asks if we were planning to tip. Mom and I look at each other, flabbergasted. We’ve never been asked that anywhere before by wait staff. She proceeds to ask if we could tip in cash, but neither my mom or I brought cash on our vacation.
After hearing this, waitress goes to the computer, mumbling under her breath and looking like she’s about ready to crash out. She brings us our check, tells us to have a great day, then walks away saying, “I’m going to cry.”
I am empathetic to her plight; holidays are rough. But like…? I’ve never had service like that before. Please help Ms. Waitress get some therapy.

Went here Sunday evening, 12/7/2025. Two couples. Restaurant was clean. Atmosphere 4-star: 1) Could have used some quiet music, instead could hear other guest watch TV on her phone. 2) Needs some updates.
Service 5-star: Staff attentive. Elizabeth was our server and she was great! Exceptionally nice, attentive to our requests, order was accurate, and she is so considerate.
Last but not least, food 4-star. Salad was great, not iceberg but leafy greens and a variety of veggies. Thank you! Meatloaf was good but the gravy – YUCK! Seems like it was out of a jar or can. Baked potato was just right, included sour cream and butter, yum! Chives would have made it perfect. Appreciate the ‘Senior’ specials.

Our server, Crystal, was very patient with my mother’s instructions for her order and everything came out perfect. Our meals were spectacular! Portions filled the plate and tasted great!

My boyfriend and I were pleasantly surprised with the quality and quantity of food after reading some of the questionable reviews. The only negative about our experience was the hostess upon entering, she could use some tips on friendliness and etiquette. Our server was Brandi, she was amazing! my boyfriend ordered the country eggs Benedict and he said it was delicious. I ordered the mushroom Swiss omelette and had a side of slaw. We ate breakfast for dinner. The pictures show the portions were huge. The slaw was very fresh and homemade. If we are ever in the area of Enola again, we definitely will come back to the Squeaky Rail.

The lady was absolutely amazing that took my order. It was very convenient next-door to the hotel. My Reuben sandwich was absolutely excellent. But extremely disappointed in the steak and the baked potato it was extremely tough and not edible. The potato was not cooked all the way I’m sure it would’ve been good if the steak was properly tenderized or properly grilled and the potato was cooked all the way, but the wonderful sweet lady that took my order. I believe she was possibly from Brazil or somewhere she was amazing and very sweet, but they do have a lot of other options and amazing breakfast.

This is one of the dirtiest diners around! I went here recently, determined to give it another try. I will never go back. I ordered Turkey over filling with a side salad with blue cheese dressing, mashed potatoes and pickled beets. The very first bite I took of the salad I spit onto my napkin immediately, as the blue cheese dressing was so spoiled that it was not just tainted, but rancid. The server brought me ranch instead. The 2nd bite of the salad revealed rotten lettuce. I pulled it to the side of the plate and decided I was just going to eat the cucumbers and tomatoes off the salad. The first tomato was fine, the second one was fully rotten and I almost threw up. I called the server over and she said she would talk to the manager. The manager went to the salad bar and stirred the lettuce and told the young lady to offer me iceberg lettuce instead. You served me ROTTEN FOOD and the manager didn’t even bother to come talk to me and only offered me iceberg lettuce from the kitchen… worse than that, she didn’t toss the lettuce or tomatoes. Absolutely disgusting! I’ll really not even hard to get along with when it comes to food. This place was atrocious. Never again! You couldn’t pay me to go back.
