I absolutely loved their Maman in NYC and probably expected the same vibe. It was kinda similar but was missing that layered, storybook charm.
The pastries and the coffee – exceptional. My usual oat milk latte was perfect.
The real surprise came the next day though when I returned for another cup only to find they were out of oat milk. A real bummer…until I tried a pistachio milk latte. Tbh I had no expectations — plant-based milks can be tricky when it comes to foam . Omg it turned out surprisingly amazing!
I have a habit of savoring the foam first. This time, something unusual happened: one sip blurred into the next, and before I realized it, I was half way through lol. No photo, no evidence — just my experience and story of being completely absorbed by a coffee.

Diego at Maman was amazing and made the whole experience even better. He was extremely attentive, friendly, and genuinely cared about making sure everything was perfect for us. The food was absolutely delicious, beautifully presented, and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. Service was quick without feeling rushed, and everything came out exactly as ordered. I suggest Andrea’s everything croissant and salmon sandwich. Plenty of gluten free options. I enjoyed my iced matcha latte with vanilla syrup. The chocolate pistachio croissant was to die for.

I was traveling to Washington DC for work and stumbled upon Maman Bakery, just about two blocks from the Grand Hyatt — and wow, what an incredible find! The moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt warm and inviting, and the smell of fresh pastries was unreal.
I ordered breakfast here and everything was delicious — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The quality of the food really stood out, and you can tell they put a lot of love into what they serve.
This quickly became one of my favorite spots in the city. If you’re staying nearby or just exploring DC, definitely make time for Maman. You won’t regret it!

Walked in around 10 am and despite the busy crowd the servers were more than eager to assist me. I had the cappuccino and pistachio croissant. The croissant was superb, though I would have loved it if it was warmed up. The coffee was great and it was really peaceful to have it near the window around the beautiful decor, really gorgeous interior. I wasn’t there for long but it surely left an impression!

I went for a Papa Bowl and a Cappuccino to start my day. The bowl consisted of roasted potatoes with bacon and arugula and topped with a fried egg and half an avocado. This bowl was flavorful and every item well cooked. My cappuccino was also prepared quite well too.
Service was friendly and efficient.

Visiting D.C. for a conference and this place is true to it’s reviews. Quick and kind service, good food, nice setup/seating for an early Sunday morning. I’m a black coffee drinker and this drip blend was bright & medium-bodied as expected. Papa’s breakfast bowl (homefries with candied bacon covered in good stuff) is filling and popular for a reason; I actually couldn’t finish the portion. After tip I paid about $25 but that’s also expected for east coast prices right now. Will keep it on my list for future visits.
