The hostess and servers were welcoming and overall the experience was mostly positive. I ordered the salmon which was accompanied by fried vegetables, a salad and rice. Everything except the rice were delicious. The rice were unedible -dry, lacking flavor and seemed old. I brought this up to the waitress and was told I’m not the only one to have made the comment. The issue was blamed on a staffing change. I was thanked for my comments, but wasn’t provided anything else.

It was our very good fortune to be back in Whitehorse when KR&S was open! Don’t miss a chance to dine here and have the very best halibut & chips, and you best come hungry; it will spoil you for the ordinary cod & chips we get Down South.
And nothing better than a pint (or two) of Yukon Gold beer to wash it down (see pic). Fortunately, I’m allowed to take beer in my checked baggage when I fly out of here.
We finished off with the bread pudding for four. It was great, but next time we’ll order the same-sized brownie/ice cream, because after all that, we didn’t have room for more than one desert!
I got a picture of one of the brownies, but unfortunately I couldn’t get away from the reflection of the glass case it was in.
Four stars, which I save only for very special places like this!

Love this place. Best dining experience in Whitehorse. It’s not cheap but that is why they continue to thrive. Always a great meal and the deserts are amazing

Had a great dinner, the best meal in Whitehorse to date, very polite and professional, loved the salmon, halibut, and ribs. The brownie was very good too (very large portion!). We hope to go again before we leave!!

The Owner/Hostess was extremely accommodating to our request, she was super friendly and even spoiled our special guest. Her staff was also wonderful and service was on point. The food was absolutely delicious and we sat on the beautiful front patio on a lovely day which added to the ambiance. By far one of the best places we have stopped at in the Yukon.

Stopped by late afternoon and was greeted warmly by the hostess. She immediately offered me a table on the cute front patio, surrounded by flowers and covered by an umbrella to keep the sun off on a very warm day. The staff was very attentive and made recommendations. I had the crab cakes. Full stop – they were so delicious! Light, bursting with flavour, and accompanied by a light greens salad and a tasty drizzle. I could have just had these and been satisfied!!! I also ordered the House special with two maple salmon skewers and their ribs. The accompaniments for the main meal were very well done. A pickled beet, garlicky mashed potatoes, some veggies, baked beans and corn bread muffin. The portions were generous. The salmon was a bit dry for my liking, and I could not really get a sense of any maple. The ribs were tender and had a nice taste.
A very unique and worthwhile place to eat at least once on your trip.

Good environment, friendly staff. Music & Atmosphere was really nice. We had the halibut clam chowder which was delicious. Definitely recommend. Hubby had the house special: Salmon was delicious, ribs were okay but wasn’t a great cut of meat, potatoes, veggies and focaccia were cold. I had the Croatian sensation, which was really delicious, again the focaccia was cold though. We got the bread warmed up before eating our meals. I’d go back but maybe try something else.

Alex our waitress was great. She recommended us Artic char fish and halibut fish and chips. We were so pleased worth her suggestions. It was the best food I have had. I would have come back if I was in town for another day. Thank you Alex for great service and making our visit so pleasant.
