Since 1936, Mexican Inn Cafe has been serving delicious Tex-Mex specialties to the people of North Texas. We’ve long been a Fort Worth tradition, and now we’ve grown to include locations in several nearby communities. Each day at the Mexican Inn Cafe, we steam fresh corn and grind it into masa. From that masa, we prepare delicious corn tortillas and our special chips, which can only be found at Mexican Inn. Our tortillas and chips are only two of the many reasons why our restaurants have been legends for 80 years!

Mexican Inn is one of those ex-lovers that you just find yourself going back to. You love the excitement of what it use to be, have the BIG ol’mouthgasm from the food, then you don’t understand why you keep going back. jk jk
Truth be told, everything was amazing. Renee was our waitress and she did amazing! The atmosphere (after we sat down) was good. My one and only complaint: some of the staff had been up front (where guests were waiting) and talking smack about other staff members. Then, a “big wig” showed up and, we all know what happens after that.
I’d go back and enjoy some more of their “skinny” corn chips, salsa, guacamole and traditional taco plate and never leave with regret. Ex-lover? more like, keep them doors open, and I’m going to keep coming.

The chips looked like Fritos, the salsa was more tomato than anything. My husband ordered the combo fajitas and the chicken tasted like soap, so we exchanged it for beef and the waitress acted like she did us a favor by not charging us another dollar for the beef. The enchiladas were ok but the flautas were cold. My husband asked for grilled jalapeño and I don’t know what they brought him but it was more bell pepper. Sorry to say never going again.

First time here and our waitress was nice and checked on us regularly. I ordered the beef street tacos, which I got on corn and flour tortilla. I prefer the one on flour. It also came with rice and beans. They were both flavorful, but the beans were on the somewhat spicy side, if you’re into that. Overall, a pretty good place for Mexican food.

We were here for a late dinner on a Friday night after driving into town from Missouri. The hostess was nice and friendly. It was crowded. There was a 40 minute wait for a table but we were lucky enough to get a couple of seats at the bar. That turned out to be a blessing in disguise. JASON, the bartender was great! It was a very busy night and he was so good at filling the waitresses orders, servicing the tables in the bar area (food and drink) and taking care of the people at the bar. I’ve never seen a cleaner work station! He kept the bar area clean and organized all while making drinks and having a conversation. He really made a difference! We stayed longer than planned because we enjoyed the atmosphere and conversation. The food was just okay. Nothing special about it. *We went back the following night for an evening cocktail. It was busier than the previous night. We were able to sit in the bar area again right away. Jason was waiting tables and there was a young woman behind the bar. Completely different experience! It was disorganized and chaotic. We stayed for one drink and left. If we’re ever in the area again, we’ll probably stop by and see if Jason is there to mix up a rockin’ cocktail! (Hopefully they won’t have him waiting tables instead of using him where he is needed the most – the bar.)

Our waitress was Beatriz, and she was wonderful! Feom the time we sat down to the time she gave us our ticket she had an inviting smile on her face. She was knowledgeable of gluten sensitivity. She went as far as going to ask what the chips were fried in. I appreciate her kindness.

Such a great dinner with my kiddos! We stopped on a Friday night anticipating a long wait but was surprised when we were seating immediately. Our waitress Natalie was very friendly and attentive. My son asked for lemons for his water and she brought a bowl! Fajitas came out quickly and was very tasty! Will definitely be returning.

Nice place. They basically server homemade fritos for chips, not a fan. Salsa didn’t have much flavor. Tamale, taco, cheese enchiladas and guacamole was pretty good. Good quick service.

Me and my husband split the beef fajitas today and they were absolutely amazing! The beef was very tender and flavorful! I have a tomato allergy and Brooklyn made sure everything was taking care of and looked out for cross-contamination! She was absolutely amazing and very attentive, we highly recommend you get Brooklyn as your server! Also had a margarita and it was wonderful as well . I definitely recommend!
