I have eaten here 2 times now, and both times have been great. The service and atmosphere are great. The food is delicious. The first time I ate there, I had their country fried steak. My favorite part is their homemade biscuits. You will find them so fluffy and buttery. I definitely recommend eating at Dutcher’s Diner.

If you don’t like small spaces you won’t like this place. Very good eggs, although 3, 2 strips of bacon and a chocolate milk were 16 bucks. hospital biscuits and gravy, and home fries were way too…. I don’t know dry I guess. And overcooked. I asked for crispy bacon… it is almost crispy in places. Not satisfied for the money.

The breakfast bowl was fantastic. 11/10 would recommend to a friend, especially if you like biscuits and gravy.

I am visiting Avon Park. I visit often. Finding a quality restaurant is not easy and most don’t last long. I don’t like leaving a negative post, but it needs to be said. All the other posts that said this place is great must be used to mediocre food. This place is average at best. I ordered a bacon and cheese omelette with hash browns. The egg was a little over cooked. The bacon in the omelet were in halves or 3rds of a film piece of bacon. Hard to cut through with a fork and basically came out of the omelet. So much for the bacon flavor adding to the omelet. The hashbrowns had an onion flavor to them. However I did not see any onions in them. I asked for ketchup and they gave me a 3lb bottle of ketchup. Ask for a smaller bottle and thats all they have. It seems most of their clientele is ederiy. So a heavy bottle of ketchup doesn’t make sense. Lastly the staff was so so. As soon as I walked in the door I was asked to donate to a local school to help buy books. Um ok. I can I eat? When I paid the bill two waitresses were joking and laughing and making me wait. The one said the total of my bill and I gave her cash. She handed my my charge she said nothing. Never made eye contact. I wait and then said thank you. Then she told me to have a nice day. Also I agree the cleanliness is questionable. While I was writing this review I see my server came outside and sat on a bench by the front door to smoke a cigarette. Yeah thanks, but um NO thanks.

Waaaay too expensive for breakfast food. 2 people with average breakfast order plus 2 coffees and tip = $47.59! Food was mediocre at best and barely warm. Will not go back there.
