Outstanding seafood experience from start to finish. Thames Street Oyster House truly lives up to its reputation. The quality and freshness of the seafood are exceptional, especially the oysters and raw bar selections, which are some of the best I’ve had. Every dish was perfectly prepared, full of flavor, and beautifully presented. The menu offers a great variety of seafood options that reflect true East Coast cuisine. The atmosphere is warm, elegant, and inviting, with a classic yet relaxed vibe, and the upstairs seating with harbor views adds a special touch to the experience. The staff are knowledgeable, professional, and attentive without being intrusive, making the entire visit very enjoyable. Service was smooth and well-timed, and you can tell the restaurant is well managed. Prices are on the higher side, but they are absolutely justified by the quality, portion sizes, and overall experience. This is a must-visit spot for seafood lovers and a place I would happily return to again.

This was the best meal we had at Baltimore. The service was amazing. The octapus ceviche and oysters were my favourite. My partner really enjoyed the crab cakes but it was too rich for me. The calamari is greasy and I would recommend skipping it.

Exceptional service with exceptional food. We tried all of the oysters, and that was a great experience tasting the subtle differences between them. The lobster tail, claws and u-12 shrimp were delicious. The mussels and fluke were great appetizers and the lobster salad was exceptional. Not cheap to eat like that, but this was a great experience for a special occasion.

We’re in town for a wedding and stopped here for lunch. The staff were nice enough to seat us without a reservation. The food and service were great.

I’ve been to this place many times with friends and their oysters are the best!!However, last time, we had a TERRIBLE experience.

My friend and I had a late lunch so we were not that hungry but just craving for Thames oysters at 4:30 pm. We went, got seated, and ordered an appetizer and a dozen of oysters, planning to order main dishes later when we became hungry (and we did order two mains and more oysters in the end). The waitress was very unpleasant after we did our first order.

Later, my friend accidentally spoiled some water on her pants, and two other staff came, one giving her a rag and the other wanting to give us new napkins, then our waitress came and asked the second staff to take away the napkins because she clearly did not think we deserve the napkins if we only ordered so little food…

Such a terrible experience but shout out to the other two staff who came to help immediately!!! Unfortunately, the tips we paid would still end up being in the pocket of that terrible waitress

First time in Baltimore and enjoyed a wonderful lunch at this place! Our server was amazing. She knew the menu very well gave us amazing recommendations and overall the experience was great. We enjoyed oysters and of course a lobster roll. The lobster roll was perfect. It was perfectly cooked not tough and deliciously buttery. Thereafter, took a stroll by the waterfront. If you’re in the area, definitely a great place to stop and grab a bite.

The best (like really the best) oyster selection, phenomenal crab cake, and outstanding food and drinks all around. Great service. I recommend sitting at the bar – the bar tender is full of knowledge on the menu. I’ve been coming here for at least 5 years and it’s always a treat!

This was an outstanding experience. Excellent seafood, especially the oysters. Great happy hour that also included oyster specials and other seafood specials. Oysters were super fresh and crisp. The escargot were the perfect balance of garlic, butter, and herbs, but they were not overly drowned in butter. Any excess from the escargot fit perfectly on the crisp baguette served with the escargot.

Cute spot with great oysters! I love coming here with my friends and trying the different oysters as they rotate their raw bar daily. Happy hour is only accommodated on the first floor so be sure to say you are there for happy hour, otherwise you may be placed upstairs and won’t have access to the happy hour deals. There are many great dishes on the menu like the crab cake or the calamari! However, the real star of the show is the bread pudding. I was absolutely blown away by the quality of the bread pudding and genuinely cannot stop thinking about it since I last had it. I would definitely recommend coming here.

One of the best seafood spots I’ve ever been too. The oysters were fantastic, and the sheet they give you is very informative. The place is small and busy so make a reservation asap.
