Food was surprisingly good with the surprise being the Zukes (fried zucchini) and the chupacabra burger was exactly what I look for when craving a burger (smoky, salty, creamy, spicy).
The burgers were very tasty and perfectly cooked. The cow fries were good but not my favorite. Nothing wrong with them but I just wasn’t into them. The Cajun and regular fries were great though. My daughter loved the grilled cheese. We all liked the cheese balls too. That marinara they serve it with was some of the best I’ve ever had.
As far as negatives I didn’t like that they don’t seem to have a website outside of a Facebook page so I was unable to see the menu easily. My daughter doesn’t like burgers and I wasn’t sure what else they had but we took the risk. The local cow has a kids menu with hot dogs and grilled cheese options. I added the pics for that.
The price was reasonable but I think the burgers were a tad on the small side. I would probably get a double patty next time. Don’t get me wrong, the kids were full but I would like a bit larger of a burger.
If I had to compare it to another place I’d say it’s like a local mom and pop version of killer burger.
Definitely give them a try!
Edit: went back again a few weeks later. I got a double patty burger and it was massive. I swear the patties were larger this time. My wife had the taco salad and said it was one of the best she’d ever had. Fries, burgers, and grilled cheese were on point. Staff was super friendly and quick.
Ordered online, requested medium rare, got dry and well-done. Meat was grey and there was no juiciness whatsoever. I got zero pleasure out of eating this burger, and I only ate it because I was hungry and it was paid for. If the burger I was served were to be offered to me for free, I would decline it.
I was probably their first customer of the day this morning, and the cook knew I was waiting, but he cooked the crap out of those burgers anyway. And I ate in my car just outside, so it’s not like the burger sat around and dried out. I have no idea if cook is the owner or an employee, but he seemed more focused on telling stories to coworkers than anything else.
Seriously, they owe me an apology. I won’t be back.
