Upon arrival, we were seated without any initial introduction from our server. Shortly after, a different server introduced herself as Lisbeth, whose professionalism and warmth significantly improved the experience. She was attentive, courteous, and genuinely welcoming throughout the meal.
As an appetizer, we requested bread, but were informed—politely—that it was unavailable. While understandable, it set an early tone of inconsistency. For drinks, we ordered a Caipirinha and an Old Fashioned; both cocktails were well crafted, balanced, and enjoyable.
The appetizers were visually appealing and delivered excellent flavor, setting a positive expectation moving into the main courses.
For entrées, we ordered the Snapper Lemon, which was nicely presented with a pleasant, well-balanced lemon sauce, and the Bistesón, which was cooked to a good point, flavorful, and paired with appropriate sides. The kitchen clearly demonstrates competence and consistency.
The ambiance is pleasant and comfortable—ideal for a relaxed dinner. However, a notable oversight was that water was never offered, a basic service expectation, especially for a sit-down restaurant aiming for a higher standard.
Final Impression
La Romanita delivers solid food and quality cocktails, and Lisbeth’s service stands out as a strong positive. However, inconsistencies in front-of-house fundamentals—such as server introduction, bread availability, and offering water—prevent the experience from feeling fully polished.
Overall: A good dining option with clear potential. With tighter attention to service details, La Romanita could easily elevate the experience from good to excellent.
The food was excellent. Everything tasted fresh and well prepared, with rich flavors and beautiful presentation. The pasta dishes were especially delicious, and the pizzas had a nice crisp crust and flavorful toppings. You can really tell the kitchen pays attention to quality and detail.
The service was friendly, attentive, and professional without being overwhelming. The staff made sure everything came out on time and checked in just enough to make the experience smooth and enjoyable.
Overall, La Romanita is definitely worth visiting. Great food, inviting atmosphere, and solid service, we’ll absolutely be coming back.
Our server, Amanda, was friendly and attentive, making sure everything went smoothly throughout our meal. We’ll definitely be back!
We clearly ordered a “lobster bisque soup” and were instead served a seafood soup we never asked for. When we questioned it, the waitress explained that because we said “lobster bisque” rather than “cream of lobster,” she assumed we wanted a seafood soup and that we would be fine with all the other shellfish in it. That assumption was careless and left us with something we did not order.
My NY strip (ordered medium rare) was tough, under-seasoned, and overcooked. I couldn’t eat it and ended up taking it home for our dogs instead. My boyfriend ordered the surf and turf, which was also inedible — the lobster was rubbery and overly fishy, and his steak was served medium well without anyone asking his preference.
Overall, the service was okay, but the food was barely edible and the prices were unjustifiable. From a $250 bill, the only thing we actually enjoyed were the mashed potatoes. For what we paid, I expected much better quality and care.
The food was simply spectacular. Every dish was flavorful and made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. You can feel the love and dedication in the kitchen. I especially recommend [mention a standout dish] — an absolute delight!
I’ll be coming back. It’s one of those places you truly enjoy recommending. Congratulations to the new owner and the whole team!
This was my first time visiting this restaurant and I had high hopes walking in. The atmosphere initially felt inviting and comfortable which gave me a good impression at first. Unfortunately the rest of the experience did not live up to that.
Our server started off fine but as the meal went on her attitude became noticeably unprofessional and unpolite. It felt like we were more of an inconvenience than guests, which definitely impacted the overall dining experience.
As for the food, it was disappointing. What I ordered was overcooked, the meats were fatty and the presentation was lacking. It didn’t feel like much care went into the preparation or serving of the dishes.
To add to the frustration, an automatic 18% gratuity was added to our bill for a party of three people. Gratuity should be earned and left at the discretion of the customer, especially when the service was clearly lacking.
I don’t usually leave negative reviews but I feel it’s important to be honest so others are aware that not all the glowing reviews reflect every experience.
